ARSD Placements 2025 FAQs

Ques. How does the ARSD placement cell support students during the placement season?

Ans. The placement cell at ARSD College plays an active role in bridging the gap between students and employers. It usually begins by conducting registration drives and collecting student resumes. Throughout the academic year, the cell shares job postings, conducts company webinars, and sometimes arranges soft skills sessions or mock interviews. While the scale of formal training is limited, ARSD College tries to help students prepare by offering guidance, information about company expectations, and basic interview readiness resources. The placement team, consisting of both faculty and student members, acts as a point of contact during hiring rounds and ensures that all updates are communicated clearly to participants.

Ques. Do ARSD College students get internship opportunities as well?

Ans. Yes, students at ARSD College are encouraged to take up internships, especially during summer breaks or their final year. The placement cell, along with individual departments, often shares internship opportunities in diverse sectors such as research, writing, finance, NGOs, and digital marketing. While some internships are sourced directly through the college, many students also apply on external platforms like Internshala, LinkedIn, and DU's centralised portals. These internships may or may not offer stipends, but they are valued for experience and resume-building. ARSD College recognises internships as an important step toward career preparedness, and students are generally motivated to pursue them early in their academic journey.

Ques. What type of companies generally recruit from ARSD?

Ans. The placement cell at ARSD is capable of attracting recruiters from a somewhat mixed pool, which mainly consists of start-ups, educational organisations, NGOs, content writing organisations, and entry level opportunities in larger companies. A number of service-sector companies do visit ARSD to recruit students for business development roles, content writing, HR, finance operations, and teaching assistant roles. Placement success tends to be better for those in the commerce and humanities streams. However, some science graduates may also sometimes receive internship opportunities. Students who are offered internships are generally just based off of the variety of companies, and the scale of the companies may differ each year, based on the market and outreach.

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester students become eligible for campus placements. As I am in the 1st year only so I don't have any information about the companies visited & the number of offers made. I also don't have any information about the highest and the average package as per the company and the profiles offered. I don't know the percentage of students getting placements in my college. My plan after getting the degree is complete a cybersecurity course and do some bug bounty programs.
