Fees and Financial Aid

I have paid 6,370 rupees per semester in bachelor of arts economics honours. The registration fees was 100 rupees. And there are no other fees you have to pay after admission fees. And there is no extra or minor charges for other cast students. All the students have to pay same admission fees in same subject. Different fees have to be deposited when the courses are different. When the courses are same, all categories have to deposit the same fees.

Faculty

Faculties are not too good. But yes it's fine according to a government college. Library is good as it has many book you want. Canteen is so to good price is a little hight but no problem. Washroom I don't like because they are not in a very good condition There are 2 exam in per semester where a mid-term and 2nd is main semester

Course Curriculum Overview

Economics driven world is where in we live in and therefore there's no point dwelling on other things. It's lovely that our curriculum preapres us in such a way that we have the choice to finish it off in three years or if we want we can take the classes for fourth year and do some researches and take the much covered Hons Degree.

Placement Experience

SRCC has one of the best campuses and our basketball court is so famous that many movies too have been promoted and shot there. Our campus is big too and our auditorium is such that many top personalities have come and spoken there. Even leaders like Barrack Obama too had an interaction with SRCC students in an open air event.

Faculty

the faculty is great there is no annoying professor that doesnt give marks thankfully, the faculties do work on rules which students if obey its great experience for all like no usage of phone during lectures however is any emergency theres no restrictions to use phone but one must step out for the time being to avoid any disturbance..there no addition notes provided ..students must take it class only ..the internal exams are taken smoothly and in equal intervals and considering evryone can appear the dates for these exams are decided in class taking everyone in consideration

Course Curriculum Overview

the curriculum and teaching methods depend from professor to professor..and if you dont get a method the professor are often kind enough to change it and explain things another way..the exams are moderate level almost always..the curriculum is fine with the discipline courses however through nep ..skill enhancement courses and value added courses have been introduced which at times feel very useless

Course Curriculum Overview

I always wanted to be an economist that's why I chose this course, and to be honest it's going pretty well, I've chosen my extracurriculars according to my interests and I love my college for that and I'm managing pretty well. There needs to be some improvement on the teaching methods like, some teachers just don't reach they come in the class do one thing and rest is all upto us and they just vanish.

Fees and Financial Aid

Okay so we don't have to pay for each semester. We pay once for one year like if I get an admission in the college I pay 17000 for both the semesters in the first year and when I complete my first year then I have to pay the second year fees. There's no scholarship in my college or I'm not aware of it but if someone scores 9+ cgpa then the college gives them money, ranging from 1000-1500

The faculty and student relationship is quite nice. The faculty are all well qualified and skilled so we get to learn more about the subject. I liked a maam she is teaches statistics, but she is quite strict but she is nice she knows the each and every student of the class that has around 145 students. Even for me it's very hard to remember names of this many people. There are 2 semester in every year there are total 3 cores in first year of 4 credit each and there are 4 additional subjects That are ge that is of 4 credit its a general elective we can choose any other subject rather than the subject offered from own department we can do a minor degree in this subject, and there are aec, aec ,vac that is of 2 credit each these subjects can be taken from any department

The fests are held from the month of February to month of April. There are departmental, societal fests and annual fest. In library the books and journals are easily available if you have library card. The facility and technical provisions within the classroom are weel maintained but in some class room it is not well maintained. But over time its repaired or changed. The facilities of sports in our college is the best and also for extra co curriculum activities. There are activities like acting, singing, dancing, basketball, volleyball etc. There are many student run groups, they provide information going around in college that is quite helpful

The college does conducts regular events to keep us entertained. Usually celebraties are invited to attend the college events and fest which gives a great college experience. Apart from that I would say the Central libary is one of the best libraries I have ever experienced in my LIfe. It's really spacious with books covering all subjects and need of the students. Apart from the central Library the University also have separate libraries for each departments. We are provided with wifi enabled campus. we have smart boards with projector facilitie. the faculty can use the smart keyboard to write, show visual reprentations and videos for our better understanding. And every classroom of the university is Air conditioned for our comfort. Now coming to the sports facilities offered on campus are as follows: 1) Indoor and outdoor Badminton courts 2) Gym facilities ( needs subscription) 3) 2 Basketball Courts 4) 2 big fields for cricket and football games. 5) Yoga, Dance and music club is procided. We have a student portal which have made the college life easy as almost everything is available on that portal like sylabus details, attendance, academic, callender and information related to upcoming events etc

My overall experience with campus life was fairly average. While it wasn't particularly extraordinary , it had its moments . Socially the atmosphere was decent, student were friendly and approachable but campus lacked a dynamic and social culture. When it comes to club involvement I would say it's okayish. There were a decent number of clubs but many like sports club lacked consistency in their activities.

Fees and Financial Aid

Semester fee is 55,000 per semester. Transportation fees is additionally paid based on transportation route i.e for Delhi is different and for Gurgaon is different Scholarship is provided on the basis of 12th boards marks and CUET score , scholarship are provided upto 100% by the college.

The infrasturcture is great, everything which a student might need in his or her university is present here. Classes are well-built. Various events are held in the university, you can be a part of them too. You can join any club which you want to join, many options are available here. Those clubs organize events and activities in which you can take part. Moreover, each branch of this university has their own library, like engineering students have separate library and only engineering students are allowed to enter that library and borrow books from them.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is good and gives you relevant knowledge. The major of this degree is economics so majority of subjects are related to economics, only few are of Data Science. As mentioned earlier, the module system is followed and exams are conducted every month. Timetable is made every month but changes can be made any time. This system puts less burden to students but appearing for exams every month is exhausting for some students. The exams are neither too difficult nor too easy, but one can pass if you have studied.

We dont get our scholarship on time and is less compared to the amount of effort we are putting in our college, college admission are good and affordable its 4500 per semester. Also due to non available of vus service we spend more than usual amount of our momey to go to college hence more money is spent on the way, no funds are made and we have to wait for a year to receive our scholarship mad we dont usually get the required amount even after waiting for nearly a year.

Campus Life

The annul functions is disappointing and doesn't reach the students expectations. Library is good and comfortable, projectors are available inside classroom. Sports are boring, faculties doesn't focus or give any importance for physical and exercise.

Faculty

The faculty members of our college is more or less good. The ratio of faculty members are less with respect to the students. Some of the faculty members are very sweet with the students ,none of them is too harsh with the students. In one semester there are 2 exams, one is mid semester and another is end semester. The mid sem is for 50 marks and the end sem is for 100 marks. The paper for exams are somewhat easy to score if you have studied well And for those who don't study, they will definitely fail The course pack which is provided to us is very relevant All the questions are related to that only

The exam pattern is very simple, one main exam for a subject at the end of each semester, depending on how many subjects you have. And there are only class tests and other things that make up for the total marks. Attendance is not an issue, which i like about this college the most.

Campus Life

Our college is NIRF ranking 5, so the infrastructure is top notch here. We have all the indoor and outdoor games facilities, as well as the outsider/guest lectures we recieve from time to time, gets us to build an idea of how the real world works.

The faculty to student ratio was approximately 5:1. The faculty was good. The used to give equal importance to the students. They were very much student friendly. One professor of our college i used to like a lot was Mr. Haloi Sir. He was a Economics professor who used to be very punctual and student friendly. Its really tough to find one faculty i didn't like at all. I already told u that all of the faculties r overall good. So i liked all of them. In every semester we used to give 6 exams in an average. Hons paper was little bit tough but the other ones are easy. Many students got back logged but most of them used to clear those in upcoming semester. The course was very relevant to further studies.

Campus Life

Most importantly There were 3 to 4 events happened in every year. Out these there were Fresher event, Farewell, yearly sport event and Gs night. Books availability in library was good but it can be improved. Facalities and Technological Provision needs improvement I was not so active in sports or extra curricular activities so i can't tell about this properly. No i don't know about someone like this who used to run groups or clubs etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structures of my institutions is kinda adjustable, it is a good for all type of students who are facing financial issues the college also help the people who is facing the problem, the tuition fees which is kinda expensive taking my tuitions for outside the college others professor n teachers for my course the only place which I find difficult in. My batchmates fees is also the same as for we study at the same institutions it is affordable for all type of students.about the scholarship we haven't recieved any of it as for we are in the second sem at early months of the year we could get it soon as it scholarship structure are not yet know!!!.

Faculty

The faculty-to-student ratio is good they are approachable and is good against the students.but they are lacking around some works that they need todo in they are lacking in the program and works which is unnecessary for some students which could hurt the feelings of students, The exam structure or the college is good but they should give some gaps between the next test/exam. The college use to end all the exam in just a week, which is good as well as bad at the same time, it is tiring for the students it is a time when everyone is tired and sometimes couldn't concentrate to it.

Faculty

The faculty members of our college are quite good as they are very friendly to their students which is quite admirable and the best faculty will be our department that is Economics in my opinion and for exams there are usually two exams one for internal and one for external.. And if one fails in internal exams they are expelled which is quite absurd i would say

Campus Life

There isn't much events that are organized is our college but we do have programs like winter fest , cultural and literary day but most of it are just not that good except the winter fest which i really enjoyed. If we have other events like that it would be quite interesting. We also have many clubs like ECO clubs , Evangelical Union etc

Campus Life

I'm glad that i met so many good friends to accompany me . I'm a part of the students council and we the council strive a lot for college as in we're the ones who always get into works for any occasions also as all the council members are the class representatives we handle our respective class, and doing such things it boasted my confidence a little bit more, hence I'm glad for it . Talking about the facilities in our college, it's quite average from my point of view because every rooms have a PPT but not smart tvs . Also , in library we don't find Books which is out of syllabus, as in we don't find comics , mangas or novels for us to borrow and read at our leisures.

Fees and Financial Aid

As the government institution, our college's fee structure isn't too high , we pay around five thousand for each semester and 16 to 17 thousand for hostel fees for one semester . Which in total is around 22 thousand. And if I'm to mention about year wise it'd be 45 thousand something. The scholarship amount that we get is way too low, it's just around 10-13 thousand in a year .

There are numerous student run social groups ranging from Mental Health to Professional support helping out in various aspects of college life.

Very relevant and useful course. Electives offered add to the overall utility of the degree. Most of the resources required are available online/made available online for ease of access. Mid Sems and End Sems happen once a Semester with the difficulty varying as per the subject.

Ques. Which course is better: B. Commerce Hons or BA Economics Hons from DU?

● Top Answer By Divjot Bagga on 06 Oct 22

Ans. The answer to this question will rely on your future goals, what you compassionately dream of doing, and what you believe you will truly like. However, Economics Honors from DU is one of the best courses with exceptional scope and value in the corporate world. Everyone is aware that the University of Delhi's most prestigious course is Economics Hons. Rapidly rising cutoffs provide proof of this.  Additionally, compared to other courses, it offers higher placement prospects. Nevertheless, immense power entails great responsibility. It's not the kind of subject you can get by with just one night of studying. It necessitates commitment and diligence. Additionally, it is the most challenging course the university offers. So, BA Economics is the best option for anyone who is keenly interested in the subject.  BA Economics(Hons) is DU's most difficult yet prestigious course. As a result, if you are in the unreserved category, you will need a higher percentage. Try to get a score of 90% or higher to get into DU, and 95% or higher to get into DU's good colleges. In the end, it all comes down to your score.Read more

Ques. Is it worth doing a BA in economics honors from an average college of DU?

● Top Answer By Pragya Agrawal on 10 Oct 22

Ans. Many people believe that college isn't necessary for success in life. No, it does not. But those people are simply not telling the whole story. The amount of struggle you will face without a college degree is 20 times greater than what you will face with a good college degree. Working hard today will make your life easier tomorrow. Any average college isn't worth it unless you're in dire financial need or your family's mental state is unbearable. The hype surrounding DU is unreal. All of those 52 lakh eco packages are overpriced. 5 people out of lakhs may get it; the rest must compete for a 5 lakh job. You should never accept anything less than what you deserve. You can apply for Jamia to enter. You may apply for abroad studies. You can get a fellowship and take a year off. Do whatever it takes to stand out from the crowd and make a better career for yourself.Read more

Ques. Which is better, ISBF Delhi or NMIMS Mumbai for economics honours?

● Top Answer By Ritesh Kumar on 23 Feb 23

Ans. Both the colleges ISBF Delhi and NMIMS Mumbai offer a decent Economic Honors program. I have drawn a detailed comparison between the two on the basis of the following parameters  Worth of the Degree: NMIMS might be a reputed college but its degree cannot be compared to that of ISBF which offers a University of London degree in addition to academic assistance from London School of Economics and Political Science, the top-ranked institute in Economics. Curriculum: Economics is vast and covers a very broad spectrum of subjects from development and finance to international trade. Now the University of London excellently allows the students to choose 6 electives of their choice in addition to 6 compulsory subjects. This ensures that the students get a job in the sector they are passionate about. This flexibility of curriculum lacks on the part of NMIMS. Prospects: A DU student applying to top institutions in the UK for a master, is required to complete a diploma year before starting with his master's. This aims to compensate for the difference in the standard of education. However, anyone with a University of London degree can directly apply for a Master in top universities in the UK. Batch size: The batch size at ISBF is relatively smaller than that of NMIMS. This aids in better student-teacher interaction and class discussions. This in turn helps in better delivery of the curriculum. So in almost all aspects, ISBF is a better choice than NMIMS.Read more

Ques. How is BA economics from DTU (East campus)?

● Top Answer By Mayank Gupta on 06 Jul 23

Ans. BA Economics Honors is a newly launched program by DTU that is delivered under the department called the University School of Management and Entrepreneurship (USME). Other programs offered under this department are BBA and MBA.  Here are a few highlights pertaining to the BA Economics Honors: The faculty is highly experienced and hails from reputed colleges. There are many inspirational professionals, one such being Dr. KV Bhanumurthy, Rtd. Dean of DSE who teaches Economics to first-year students. DTU BA Economics curriculum is somewhat similar to DU or IP University curriculum. Usually, the electives are finalized by the faculty after receiving the consent of students.  DTU has a 75% attendance rule to maintain the decorum of academic ambiance here. The campus is new so it’s still in the development phase. Overall, I believe this institute in general and this program specifically has a lot of potential and anyone who fails to get into DU for Economics should consider joining it.Read more

Ques. How good is Loyola College Chennai for economics?

● Top Answer By Rudrani Sengupta on 04 Oct 21

Ans. The answer to this question depends on what you want to do. I have a few friends from Loyola College, Chennai, and here is what they have to say about the institute. Loyola has really good professors and a vast library with huge collections of books. It also has a digital library and conducts national-level symposiums. The placement office is amazing and a lot of different companies from diversified fields come to the campus. In the last placement drive, the highest CTC offered was 5 LPA.  Loyola has a policy of 80% attendance. It also has a compulsory club of 60 hours during the first year and there are a lot of options to choose from – NCC, NSS, FOP, Loyola dream team, AICUF, Rotaract, Radio, LPA, Debate Club, etc. Even after all of this, certain students have arrear and do not like to study. They just want to enjoy themselves and do not enroll in any club, do not use the library at all.  Overall, the college is good but it is up to you to make the most of your time there.Read more

Ques. Which is better: H.B.Econ. from SRCC or IPM from IIM Indore?

● Top Answer By Amrapali Patel on 30 Aug 21

Ans. SRCC is an established and well-known institution affiliated with the University of Delhi. The institution has a pretty good faculty and the curriculum being taught there is also considered to be of high standards. If you are planning to prepare a solid CV for your career, I would suggest that you opt for a course of your interest at SRCC.  These are just some views I gathered by interacting with students of these institutes.  The curriculum followed at IPM has been mocked by several candidates because of its diversity. It does not include specific topics for a particular specialization.  However, for the batch of 2016-21, a new curriculum has been introduced by the authorities which is more focussed on areas like Economics, Quantitative aptitude, Philosophy, Psychology, and Sociology.  These areas are also considered to be the 5 pillars of management at the PGDM level by many individuals working in the field of business and management. The placement of the institution is also quite good with the average package approximately equal to the amount which usually gets offered to candidates studying at the Postgraduate level.  Categories Economics (Hons.) at SRCC IPM at IIM Indore Course Fee 45,000 26 lakh Course Duration 3 years 5 years Highest CTC 25 LPA 28 LPA Average CTC 8-10 LPA 15-18 LPA Recruiting Companies Deloitte, KPMG, EY, Amazon, etc. ICICI Bank, American Express, Mindtree, HCL, etc. My brother was eligible for admission at SRCC but instead, he opted for IPM because it was favoring his interests, environment, and several other factors. You can too make a decision based on your interests and several other factors which you think are important for your career.Read more
