Which is better: H.B.Econ. from SRCC or IPM from IIM Indore?

SRCC is an established and well-known institution affiliated with the University of Delhi. The institution has a pretty good faculty and the curriculum being taught there is also considered to be of high standards. If you are planning to prepare a solid CV for your career, I would suggest that you opt for a course of your interest at SRCC. These are just some views I gathered by interacting with students of these institutes. The curriculum followed at IPM has been mocked by several candidates because of its diversity. It does not include specific topics for a particular specialization. However, for the batch of 2016-21, a new curriculum has been introduced by the authorities which is more focussed on areas like Economics, Quantitative aptitude, Philosophy, Psychology, and Sociology. These areas are also considered to be the 5 pillars of management at the PGDM level by many individuals working in the field of business and management. The placement of the institution is also quite good with the average package approximately equal to the amount which usually gets offered to candidates studying at the Postgraduate level. In first year I paid around 33,000 as my fees. And in second year, I paid around 30,500. The difference in category students fees is just 150 rupees. There are various types of different scholarships, mainly need based.

Economics Hons is a tough program so college has brought the best faculties to make it easier for us.

SRCC B.A Economics (Hons) program fees breakdown is like this, as 28200 is tution fees and then library fees is 1000, sports fees is 1200, GST 3100. This fees is a little over 33000 and also examination fees is also need to be paid and that is 1200 per semester.

SRCC is one of the best colleges for commerce in India and even Arts courses are equally famous. Our college also commands fees slightly higher than the other DU colleges. 33425 is my 1st year fees and it was inclusive or tuition fees and all but examination fees we will have to pay seperately.

SRCC only has two courses in undergraduate i.e. B.a economics hons and bcom hons which limits the students for exploring different fields compared to other multidisciplinary universities and colleges.

The fee for both undergraduate degrees i.e.Bcom hons and BA Eco hons is around 33000 per year. This is for the unreserved and OBC category. There is some concession for SC, ST and PwBD students. This is the fee for all the facilities excluding the semester end exams. End semester exam fee depends on whether the subjects are practical or theory, approx 1000-2000 per semester. It also provides various scholarships for deserving students throughout the year based on merit.

SRCC is a paradise!!

SRCC is best college and even though the fees is less but it one of the most expensive in DU. The fees is 26000 as tuition fees and then deposits and I Card fees. Tax and all and the final tally becomes around 33000. Examination fees of 2500 per semester has to be paid seperately.

SRCC is arguably the best commerce college!!

SRCC is indeed the most promising colleges or DU and therefore fees is slightly more than the others and still it is 32500 a year for BA Economics (Hons). For students of SC/ST category the fees is just 15000 or so a year and even for OBC students it's around 20k a year.

SRCC- An Insider View

My total fees for the general category is Rs 33425 and there is no breakup given to us regarding the fees. I do not have much clue about the fees for other categories and as far as scholarships are concerned, we have ample opportunities ranging from Dr SN Maheshwari Scholarship to Reliance Foundation Undergrad Scholarship. We also have access to the national scholarship portal.

SRCC, A dream come true.

The year wise fees is around 30000 in my college. There is category difference in fees. The college has various scholarships which are need based and merit based. The criteria is that the annual income of the family must be below 8 lakhs.

Tuition is reasonable, just INR 30,355 annually (for the UR category). Scholarships are mostly available for EWS / OBC / SC / ST / Kashmiri Pandits, not for the UR category. The college doesn't charge you any extra fees unless you opt for a hostel facility. We are offered on-campus internships (about 100 offers for a batch of 1100 students) in our second year and placements (about 500 offers) in our third year.
