Likes
- Many movies too have been shot at our campus as our campus is an absolute livewire.
- Many artists and actors too have come and promoted their music or upcoming movies.
- If artists have come, politicians too need young guns so from our Foreign Minister to Transport Minister, they all too have come for seminars at our college.
Dislikes
- Even if one has 0 interest in politics, he/she will have to develop it as it is more or less mandatory.
Course Curriculum Overview
Economics was my subject in 12th and i made a point that I will study that from DU. It's just been a month after joining the college but luckily our college has taught us various traits and a month is good enough to know how the teaching standards are and how academics is run. I think it can't get any better as SRCC is best for a reason.
Internships Opportunities
Startups and tech companies and even the banks and NBFCs Internships requirements are always there on the notice board. It's great to have that many opportunities from college and hopefully i myself fine one during semester break in December.
Placement Experience
At SRCC I am still new but i checked the data of last year. In a batch of 120 around 70 studnets were placed and around 30 of them went for higher studies in Delhi School of Economics or GIPE. Some even went to LSE as such is the teaching at our campus that students have easily cracked LSE too.
Fees and Financial Aid
SRCC is one of the best colleges for commerce in India and even Arts courses are equally famous. Our college also commands fees slightly higher than the other DU colleges. 33425 is my 1st year fees and it was inclusive or tuition fees and all but examination fees we will have to pay seperately.
Campus Life
From various food stalls to innumerable games we have various activities during our annual fest Crossroads for four days. Our campus is big and has hostels as well. We also have basketball courts seperate for girls and boys and we also have event stadium in a building that has auditorium which can house around 800 people at a time.
Admission
I applied at SRCC and i got SRCC. I also wanted to pursue Economics Hons and I got that as well. There were plans of B and C if I haven't got SRCC. Hindu College, LSR and JMC were in my wishlist but they all were after SRCC.
Faculty
SRCC has stayed for top for decades now and it's because faculties who teaches here have been teaching for decades. One of our professor has been teaching here since 24 years and has told us that he will retire teaching at SRCC. So such is the dedication of our professors and so is the loyalty which in today's generation is non existent.
Night Life
Vijay Nagar and Maurice Nagar areas are nearby our college and we have like so many eateries there that we get confused. Hence we never decide before and also we are allowed to stay at the campus only till 6.30. We have to leave the campus by then and hostel students if they are going on outing, they have to n back to the campus by 9pm.
