Students also ask

Ques. If I take admission in JDMC and later want to change my course within same college can JDMC allow internal migration between departments in first year?

Ans. Internal migration is generally not allowed in JDMC after seat is allotted. Students have to study in the same course which is given through CSAS counselling. Change of department is possible only if DU announce any special migration policy. Colleges do not directly transfer student from one course to another and mostly students must continue same program for whole academic year without change.

Ques. After I pay admission fees in JDMC and later get upgraded to another DU college will JDMC refund my paid fees fully without any delay?

Ans. Fee refund happens according to Delhi University refund rules only. When student upgrades college through CSAS portal the paid amount automatically shifts to new college account, and the remaining money is refunded later. JDMC do not keep extra charges except small processing fee if mentioned in the policy. The refund process usually take some weeks so student must wait patiently for the amount.

JDMC Delhi Ranking

JDMC Delhi consistently ranks among India’s top colleges, excelling in Commerce, Arts, and Science, as reflected in evaluations by reputed agencies like NIRF and Collegedunia. The details for the JDMC Delhi Rankings are mentioned in the table below:

Ranking Body Category 2025 Ranking
College Dunia Science 85
Commerce 63
Arts 79
NIRF Overall 151-201

Students also ask

Ques. If I take admission in JDMC, does lower NIRF ranking affect my future job opportunities or companies give less preference compared to higher ranked DU colleges?

Ans. NIRF ranking do not directly decide job opportunities for student. Companies mainly see skills, communication and overall profile more than college rank number. Even though JDMC is in 151-201 band still have good placement cell and recruiters. Many students get good jobs through internships and extra activities, so ranking is only one factor, not final deciding thing for career growth.

Ques. When I compare JDMC ranking with other DU colleges should I focus more on NIRF ranking or CollegeDunia subject ranking before choosing my final college preference?

Ans. Both rankings are important but they measure different things. NIRF ranking is overall national level and CollegeDunia ranking is more subject wise. Students should not depend only on one ranking and must see the faculty, location, fees and placement also. For subject-specific choice, CollegeDunia ranking help more but for general reputation, NIRF give broader idea about college performance.
