Life a Janki

Likes

Society culture like Western Music Society, Film and Photography society, students take up initiative there. College is pretty small and accessible by metro. Infrastructure is really good. Gardens are great and it is green
Holds many events, for almost all departments and societies. Fest is pretty great too
Library is good. Lots of books and publications are available. There is a Library fest as well. Computers are accessible all the time.

Dislikes

Apolitical, dissent from student community is not encouraged.
Lack of classrooms to accommodate all years and courses. Randomness in B.A Program department.
Lack of places and rooms for societies to practice. Reception staff is very rude. It takes a long process to book a room for a society.

Internship opportunities are provided all year round by Career Opportunity Cell for students of all years. For Jobs, usually 3rd year students are eligible. While internships are for varied fields, jobs usually come in for Bcom students, but more opportunities are there during placement season for all courses. Placement season is usually around end of 3rd year.

I like the cafeteria of this college. The cafeteria is big and the menu is too good. Prices are affordable and taste is worth it . You can hangout with your friends there . Also you can get photocopy shop near it in the campus . So this area is good
I like the environment of this college. Wherever you go , you will see greenery everywhere. This college tops the list in delhi university when it's come to greenery and environment. The cleanliness is there . The big grounds are there.
I like the fest of this college. The fest is known as Jyotsana . The best part of the year. It's an annual fest and everyone can come this day . Different stalls are organised there . Music , dance ,dj is organised for students.

Dislikes

The thing which I dislike in this college is auditorium. The auditorium of this college is open . So it will be difficult for students to sit there in winters . Otherwise it's good .
I dislike the fact that this college doesn't engage in abvp and nsui . Every college in du supports abvp in their college. But this college is not adding this club in the college. I don't know why but this irritates me a lot.
I dislike the fact that sometimes they didn't allow parents in the college. They ask students to come but not their parents entry unless it's very important. I don't know why but parents should be allowed on the college.

Placement Experience:

No placements for humanities students. If you're a b.com student then maybe you will get some opportunity but for other students very less chance to be placed. Package maybe around 1 to 2 lakh for a fresher student . I don't know about exact percentage of students who are placed . My plans after getting degree is to preparing for competitive exams.

Ambience, Krishna Hostel, Greenery and cooperative teachers
Krishna hostel is the best part about this college
The college is best for philosophy specialization. It’s in ORN,plus for students who are into government exam prep especially UPSC

Dislikes

Nothing really, I cherish the time I have spent there. There’s no place better to study philosophy from basics other then this college itself
It’s a beautiful college, no shortcomings
I miss it all. The vibe, the beauty of the place and the memories o made there

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is rightly designed. Plus the teachers often suggest books that can be read from library regarding course topics. The library is very nice here. I used to study in the library for long hours. The exam notes and everything is available at the photocopy shop that's inside the college. Writing this review really made me miss the college more

Likes

The professors and the faculty is very very good and I love the college.
The atmosphere and peace as it’s a girls college so it’s very very safe so college life is very enjoyable.
The curriculum is very entertaining and fun to study and you never got bored because so many fun subjects.

Dislikes

Cleanliness by students is not maintained much and they throw wrappers and stuff everywhere

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placement from the 5th semester and many notable companies visit our campus for the placements and many students get offers and I think the highest may be around 5-6L and the lowest around 2-3L.

Likes

The infrastructure is very impressive and beautiful . The garden and college is covered with greenery
The college crowd is good they help everyone with studies or any other problems
The fest of Janki Devi memorial college is called symphony and it is amazing it is for 3 days

Dislikes

The placement of the college and the recruiting company are less in number
The on campus placement package because the average package is only 300000
I dislike the surrounding area of the college

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is average and not so impressive for example the average package is 300000 . But the off campus placement are good . The top recruiting companies for our course include prestigious names such as EY, Accenture, Zomato, Fluor Daniel, Swiggy, India First Life Insurance, JLL, Infoline and Tata Power.

The main and only thing I dislike is that itsa women's College
It's a women's College that's why here is not that much exposure
It's a women's College that's why some people are so judgmental

So the thing is .. my college comes under DELHI UNIVERSITY . That's why it follows the curriculum of Delhi University which is provided by the Delhi University itself . Sometimes it's pretty hectic but it's not that much.

Likes

My social interaction with the students in the college has been a very good experience. the students are friendly and helpful in nature along with the staff.
The campus infrastructure and the learning facilities of the college are also up to the mark.
There are various college opportunities and Internships provided.

Dislikes

There are some punctuality issues with I faced from various teacher.
Also I faced some problem regarding the time table of the college.
Also there is applied delay in completion of syllabus.

Placement Experience:

There are placement provided from 2nd year and 3rd year. Companies like EY DeltaX etc come to the college for placements. The average package which follows here is 350, 000. My plans after the degree include doing professional courses.

The time table is very lengthy and very huge gaps in the time table

The first thing I have liked is the infrastructure. Even though the campus is not that big in comparison to other colleges but the college authorities everytime new session starts do some type of restructure. Like new smart boards,updating the lab.

Dislikes

One thing I dislike is most of the placement are not that upto the mark they mainly consists of marketing and sales only.
There are no official college trips also.

Placement Experience:

We become eligible for campus placement in our final year. The company which mostly visit is Zomato, deltax,ey gds,optum and they make on a average of 10-12 offers respectively. The lowest package starts from 350000.
