Admission:

I choose this college because it is india best commerce college. It was my first preference and I got it. To take admission in this college you have to give cuet just after your 12th exams. You have to be pass in class 12th exams then you can give cuet. You can only give exams of subjects which you had in your class 12th. After giving exams , some universities release their admission form. You have to fill that form if you want to take admission. As you move ahead with their admission process you have to clear their cutoffs. For bcom hons in srcc the 2025 cutoff was 917/1000. For eco hons it was 910 for general category.

So basically i had applied to almost all other colleges in DU, for example Hindu, Miranda, LSR etc. Even non DU colleges, for example St. Xaviers. I got in all of them. However SRCC being my first preferance finally became my destination. I chose it mainly because of the Brand value it has. Same reason that people choose IITs. I didnt really get a rejection from anywhere. Just IIM under IPMAT, and that was because i didnt study too well for the entrance. For the admission in this college, u need to clear an examination called CUET. Thats the only exam. Cut off for B.Com hon goes the highest in SRCC itself, being the most demanded college. During my year it went around 782/800

I secured an admission into BHU, Jamla Milia Aslamia University as well as SCMS, Pune and Chandigarh University. A number of factors influenced me choosing SRCC over any other college. The primary factor that led to this choice, is definetely the brand value of SRCC. Moreover, it's alum network is amazing, including individuals like Arun Jaitley Sir. The average placement of Srites sometimes exceeds IIMs. The exposure that it provides is unparalleled in comparision to any other DU or Private Colleges. I did not receive a rejection from any college. I was taken into SRCC on the basis of my 12th+10th Boards Score along with my active ECA Involvement. For FSR Students, these are the criterias. The other students had to undergo a Common University Entrance Examination (CUET) and score above 782+/800 in my batch to get in.

What percentage is needed for taking admission in SRCC?

Suhani SharmaStudied at Shri Ram College of Commerce (2016)

One of my friends studied at Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC). According to him it is a fulfilment for every commerce aspirant. It is ranked as one of the best commerce colleges in the country. It offers two undergraduate courses - B.Com (H) and B.A Economics (H).

  • For taking admission in B.Com(H), you need to score a minimum 98% (Best 4) in Class 12 boards or other equivalent examinations.
  • It is compulsory for students to have Mathematics in their class 12th but not a compulsion to add it in Best 4.
  • BA Economics (H) requires you to score 98.5% (Best 4) in Class 12 boards and it is compulsory to include Mathematics in Best 4 while calculating the percentage.

You must study any three of the listed subjects which is mentioned in the DU website for the respective course, otherwise 2.5% gets deducted.

Do SRCC students get into IIM Ahmedabad?

Utsav KamraCopy Editor at Careers360

Though Shri Ram College of Commerce has high cut-offs for admission at the graduation level, it is incorrect to assume that all SRCC students who pass the CAT exam will be admitted to IIM Ahmadabad. It is important to remember that work experience is highly valued at IIM Ahmadabad.

Many students from other colleges apply to prestigious institutes. Nothing can stop you from getting into IIM Ahmedabad if you are determined to do so. So remember that regardless of where you studied, you can still get into IIM Ahmedabad.

Can I get admission in SRCC without studying Mathematics in class 12?

Bhavya Rawal
Nikita JainB.Com. Hons. from Shri Ram College of Commerce (2017)

Delhi University almost every year comes up with a different set of rules and regulations.

So even though you can get admission by securing 2.5% more than the declared cut off, however, the final list for General candidates was 97.25% last year. You might have to score a 99.75% in your class 12th examinations.

In case cut offs increase, you will need a perfect 100 in 4 subjects. So getting in is really difficult.

If you are not from the general category, then the cut offs will be lower and you might get through even without mathematics.

However, in the beginning, the admission requirements change often, hence you may never know that some small changes in the rules might get you in. So always follow the official website of DU for any updates.
