Course Curriculum Overview

5

Economics hons means knowing domestic as well as international Economy. Our course has it all covered as how trade policies are made and how a statement or something from a top fed person can change the face of an economy. So, our college course prepares us for real time economy and along with teaches us how to trade in financial markets as well.

Placement Experience

5

EY, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley and all other companies which defies international economics are the ones which recruits students of JGU. Theh even conduct seminars and workshops and tells us the things which we need to add in our arsenal to be fit and ready for placements. Jindal Students of Economics easily score placements worth 5-7 lakhs and nearly all the students who wish for placements gets it too.

Fees and Financial Aid

JGU is India's leading university and is one of the most enterprising as well. So, studying here is a novelty and fees too is little higher than most. For Economics Hons the fees here is 4 lakhs a year and besides that we also have to stay at the residence of we aren't from NCR. So, the hostel fees is 3 lakhs a year.

Campus Life

5

80 acres of campus is ours and we have 3 canteens and a juice bar. We also have an economic society and then activities and fests at JGU keeps going as JGU means festivities. With a marquee event on globalization our economics fest Youthopia is hosted every year by our university. We then also have an annual fest called Biswamil where story telling to dance and music every thing takes place. We also have a sports fest as our Naveen Jindal Sports Complex hosts over 60 college students for the matches.

Hostel Facilities

5

There are many girls hostels and I stayed in 12 floor building that had 2 seater rooms with a balcony. TV was available only in the common area and there were around 4-5 common areas where we have table tennis tables, and FooseBall as well. Mess timings were little strict bht food provided was too good.

Admission

JSAT is mandatory to get admission in JGU. For Arts courses be if Economics, Political Science or any others, one also has to clear the interview rounds as well. So admission may take a while before you are confirmed for admission. I also applied to Graphic Era University for some other course and I had admissions there but when youbare qualified for Jindal who cares as JGU was always my first and only choice.

Faculty

5

Economist are the ones who takes lectures here. All are high level speakers and posess the knowledge of the world. From international relation to international trade they can do MUN on anything they want. So, knowlege and skill wise, I am certain that no other college or university cab even come close to the level of professors we have.

Interview Experience

5

After the entrance scores are out, we had to gear up for interview rounds. In interview like i chose economics, so the question on world economics and countries and their GDP and Per Capita Income were the kind of things asked. Also, a lot of questions on our domestic economy were asked too. So, it was a tough round but that is how JGU operates.

Night Life

5

Our college itself has a night life to die for. The Pizza Store of the campus is opened till 1 am and one more night canteen which offers beverages till 2 am. Hostel timings were 10 pm and if we went out the Yellow Door Cafe was the most enticing cafe close to our campus. Sonepat otherwise hardly have any facilities and therefore we mostly spent evening and nights at the campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Specific Aspects That Influenced the Decision For students choosing a professional or certificate course, the curriculum usually becomes the deciding factor based on three key pillars: Job-Oriented Specific Skills: The primary influence is the curriculum's direct focus on market-based, job-ready skills (e.g., Python, Data Science, Digital Marketing tools). Unlike a traditional degree, the appeal is that every module must be immediately applicable to a job. Portfolio Development: Students are heavily influenced by modules that are project-based or require them to build a portfolio (like a website, a code repository, or a marketing plan). The curriculum must be designed to result in tangible work that can be shown to employers. Industry Certification Alignment: If the course prepares students for an external, recognized industry certificate (like CCNA, MCP, or Google/Meta certificates), the curriculum's strict adherence to that certification standard is a major influence. 2. Preparation for Real-World Applications The curriculum of a successful short-term course is designed to excel specifically in preparing students for real-world applications. Curriculum Improvements Mandatory Soft Skills Integration: While technical skills are a focus, the curriculum should mandate dedicated modules on non-technical, yet critical, job skills like: Professional Communication and Email Etiquette Team Collaboration and Project Management (Agile/Scrum basics) Interview Preparation and Mock Interviews Industry Feedback Loop: Establish a more frequent and formal system to update the curriculum based on current industry demands, possibly involving an advisory board of employers or recent alumni.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was influenced because I wanted to study more about how a person makes decisions, form perception and how a person's mind works . The curriculum prepares us for real world as we study about different aspects of psychology. The curriculum can be improved a little by adding a elective course in which we can get a little experience and arranging trips . The exams are not too difficult or too easy , just in perfect depth of the subject.
