Course Curriculum Overview

5

Global Affairs as that's the way from global trade tk global policies and what all factors to be taken i to account, we are taught them all. Classes are 4 lectures daily if that can be trimmed to 3, i would seek no change as more often than not we also have online lectures from International universities as well.

Placement Experience

5

At JGU placements are a matter of time and also global policies are required at top global companies and so they are the ones who hired us. Also, Niti Aayog also hires studnets of our college as our college has tie-ups with them and initial salary of around 5 lakhs a year is what we get.

Fees and Financial Aid

For BA in Global Affairs there are not many colleges and thus the fees is high. JGU is anyways expensive as they provide courses like none others. So fees for Hons in Global Affairs the fees at our university is 6 lakhs and plus the hostel fees of 3.4 lakhs or so. There are some charges which are paid within the academic year and this it becomes around 10 lakhs a year to study our course from Jindal Global University.

Campus Life

5

Our campus has four juice corners, pizza shops, shopping complex, bank and atm centre and even a barber shop. A stadium or a sports complex full of sports things means we live in a city which is inside JGU Campus. Also, we have various fests starting from department fest to our annual cultural fest called Biswamil.

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostles are good as they are not alloted as per course but as per Pro rata basis. So, Hostels are good that we get to interact with so many girls of different branches. Our hostel has a bonding room or a common area. Many sports things are available there and also we have an absolute gem of a message which serves both veg and non-veg food.

Admission

Ashoka University again and also MCC Bangalore as these are some of th colleges that offers this particular course. I think did best by ditching the rest two as MCC may be an old college but JGU still I feel is the best out of all. Entrance and interviews are mandatory as there are just 70 seats in all for our course.

Faculty

5

Our faculties are a novelty in itself and at JGU professors are not just passed out from Indian top universities but from global Universities and have played hands in defining global roles at some organisations as well. So their teaching standards and all are absolute best and something which makes them admirable for them.

Night Life

5

Why would even think of getting off campus when we have liberty to use campus facilities till 2 am. Our campus has everything as Jam sessions and DJ night is also organized almost every weekend. Still for sometimes we go out to theatre and my favourite De Jour Cafe.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Specific Aspects That Influenced the Decision For students choosing a professional or certificate course, the curriculum usually becomes the deciding factor based on three key pillars: Job-Oriented Specific Skills: The primary influence is the curriculum's direct focus on market-based, job-ready skills (e.g., Python, Data Science, Digital Marketing tools). Unlike a traditional degree, the appeal is that every module must be immediately applicable to a job. Portfolio Development: Students are heavily influenced by modules that are project-based or require them to build a portfolio (like a website, a code repository, or a marketing plan). The curriculum must be designed to result in tangible work that can be shown to employers. Industry Certification Alignment: If the course prepares students for an external, recognized industry certificate (like CCNA, MCP, or Google/Meta certificates), the curriculum's strict adherence to that certification standard is a major influence. 2. Preparation for Real-World Applications The curriculum of a successful short-term course is designed to excel specifically in preparing students for real-world applications. Curriculum Improvements Mandatory Soft Skills Integration: While technical skills are a focus, the curriculum should mandate dedicated modules on non-technical, yet critical, job skills like: Professional Communication and Email Etiquette Team Collaboration and Project Management (Agile/Scrum basics) Interview Preparation and Mock Interviews Industry Feedback Loop: Establish a more frequent and formal system to update the curriculum based on current industry demands, possibly involving an advisory board of employers or recent alumni.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is highly relevant and comprehensive, according to me. The core courses that are mandatory for a student to take are highly relevant and necessary in order to develop the relevant skills and knowledge in that specific domain of the field. Electives on the other hand, are a student's choices and may or may not be relevant directly to the course one is studying. The university offers a wide range of electives and the electives are also taught by highly qualified professors across the 12 different schools of JGU. The end semester exams are either of 30 marks or 50 marks, depending on the course. Electives usually have a 30-mark end-of-semester exam for 1.5 hours. The exams are pretty easy and theoretical and contextual, unless the course one has chosen is strictly application-based and demands applications of theoretical frameworks. The core exams in the first and second year are divided across 50 and 30 mark exams and are often for 3 hours. The exams are pretty easy and theoretical except for the practicum courses, which are deeply application-based. The final year has very few core courses which are for 30 marks.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was influenced because I wanted to study more about how a person makes decisions, form perception and how a person's mind works . The curriculum prepares us for real world as we study about different aspects of psychology. The curriculum can be improved a little by adding a elective course in which we can get a little experience and arranging trips . The exams are not too difficult or too easy , just in perfect depth of the subject.
