What Students Say
Likes
- 80 acres of campus with a night view and night life which is unimaginable at a college campus atleast.
- Four blocks of same kind of girls hostel with facilities such as AC, charging stations, indoor games room and laundary service.
- Our course has the smallest batch and was arguably the best.
Dislikes
- Everything inside the campus is quite expensive be it canteens or the stationary stuff.
Course Curriculum Overview
Well, our course is one of the best courses available in the country as hardly any universities offers this course. Our course teaches us the best of human behaviour, culture and relationships. So it is one of the highest regard UG course in the country and JGU is the place to be for it.
Placement Experience
Every possible big name that one knows like be it Nestle, HUL, Emami or the rest, we had them at our campus for placements. Firstly our batch was small and we were also given preference in the process and therefore just like everyone else from our batch, I also got placed as well.
Fees and Financial Aid
JGU is India's most premium private university and Liberal Arts from here is next to Ashoka University. The fees for our course was 6 lakhs a year and hostel fees was 3.4 lakhs a year. In our batch only the topper was provided a scholarship of 25%.
Campus Life
We had two fests every year as Magnus which is hostel at Navin Jindal Sports complex was our annual sports event and then the cultural event named Biswamil. So, both the events and then our department fests, seminars and all kept us busy. There are 3 auditorium and 4 canteens at our campus and two long and beautiful gardens to go by.
Hostel Facilities
Our room had two beds as it was a two sharing room. All four hostels had two or triple sharing activities and besides that we had laundary at our hostel and mess that served not just normal household food but Italian and Chinese as well.
Admission
I had admissions at Ashoka University which is also in Sonepat. I gave JSAt and since I had confirmed admission from both, I looked at the other aspects of both the universities. Ashoka definitely more premium but is a relatively new university while ours has a pedigree of its own. Also the fees structure as Ashoka University fees was 25 lakhs a year while at JGU it's 6 lakhs a year.
Faculty
For Liberal Arts & Humanities the best of faculties have been assigned for the tasks. I have seen a lot of grit and unwinding which our faculties does after each class and that's what makes them special. I have seen very safer side of them as our course needs to be play safer.
Night Life
Our campus was the best place to hangout at night as it had everything measured. It offered a great night life as gym and Indoor sports arena were open for as long as it could be. Nearby though we had De Jour Cafe and Yellow Bites to go by.
