DGC Gurgaon, popularly known as Dronacharya Government College, is a government college located in Gurgaon. Established in 1980, the college has on its rolls 2000 students in the distance education programme and 1600 students in the IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University) study centre.DGC Gurgaon is recognised by the UGC and not accredited by the NAAC. DGC Gurgaon Admission Process

DGC Gurgaon offers undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses. For UG courses students must complete 10+2 from a recognized board. Admission is based purely on Merit Basis.Students must apply through the Haryana Admission Portal at admissions.highereduhry.ac.in. A merit list will be displayed on the official website followed by counseling. Students can choose their course and college, and then visit the college for document verification.For PG Courses, Students need minimum 45% aggregate in their graduation from a recognised university and in some cases, a Personal Interview Maybe required.

The following procedure shall be followed for selection of the candidates for admission to various programs:

Having the prescribed academic qualifications does not entitle a candidate for admission to the program.

Admission will be done in three phases i.e.

1st Round of Counselling:

STEP 1: Online Registration:

An OTP Based Registration will be done.

STEP 2: Application Form:

Candidates shall Fill up their personal details, educational Details, weightage, document upload College and course preferences.

STEP 3: Online Verification:

Application Form of the candidate will be allocated to the Colleges on the basis of first preference filled by the Candidate.
College will Verify the Application Form and Documents of the Candidate.

Candidates whose name appear in the Merit List can pay the fees in Online or Offline Mode within the scheduled time period.
After the payment is confirmed, a receipt will be generated on the Portal and admission will get confirmed.

STEP 6: Admission Confirmation:

After the payment is done, candidates can download the fee receipt from the Portal and the admission gets confirmed.

PG ADMISSION:COUNSELLING ROUND 1:

Counselling Round 1- Merit List 1: Allocation of seats is done on the basis of Merit.
Counselling Round 2- Physical Counselling: Physical Counselling for remaining seats, requiring students to be physically present at the College and submit the Application form on the Admission Portal.

UG ADMISSION:COUNSELLING ROUNDS:

Counselling Round 1: Merit List 1: Allocation of Seats is done on the basis of Merit.
Counselling Round 2: Merit List 2: Allocation of Seats is based on the Merit for leftover Seats.

DGC Gurgaon provides a list of Codes of Conduct to be followed.Its important to attend all the classes regularly as per the assigned timetable and maintain at least 75% record in his/her attendance.Absence in class for more than 7days together without any information to the concerned teacher will result in getting the name struck off as well as inviting a fine.Students will have to bring their parents/guardians to seek readmission within 15 days of their name getting struck off the rolls. Admission may be given with a penal payment of Rs 500/- and permission from the Principal of the college.It is mandatory to wear a college I-card all the time while in the campus and show it when asked for by the faculty/staff. Students should contribute in maintaining cleanliness of the campus by using waste bins, not destroying any green areas/ flora and avoid using any plastic material in the campus.

There are library present in college free books available

My elder brother done BCA and MCA so he approached me for BCA Some teachers need to be polite we are students and coming for study so please be polite Timing of exams is good 9 am to 12 am in summer and 9.30 am to 12.30 am in winter The evening exams start after 2 hours of morning exams Exams are not too difficult they are made of slaybuss not any questions form outside

I don't want any internship so I was at home that day I want government job so preparing for that But some my friend tell me that there are 5-6 startups and company come in college for internship program There are a ekarma centre available in college you can get free knowledge about digital marketing and graphic designer in that they also gives internship

In 6th semester students can get placement I am sick on that day so no idea about offers but they visited 2 companies Average 15-18k highest 30-35k Average 10 percent Actually I need government job I am preparing for that

Tution fee is too cheap I paid 6000+5000+5000 in 3 years that is too low as compared to other colleges They give 12th merit scholarship and also sc/obc scholarship There are many companies come for freshers and overall good placement chances

There are 2 cultural activities every years for our stream Every book have approx 3-4 copies in library And teachers gives you book if you request them Our computer lab have ac so it is too good There are vollyball basketball and cricket as major sports Don't know about that

The BCA faculty teachers are so good they all are very supportive and have good knowledge about what they are teaching specially alka gulati mam and visual basic teacher have too good they are so polite. Overall good staff

Admission process of the college

You need approx more then 75% marks for admission in this course Application form to be find in DHE haryana website Reservation benefits - I don't have knowledge about them but college have obc/sc/st/ews reservation 3 hour exam and the difficulty is medium Admission process is good no need of improvement

A. beacuse of my family financal condition is not well i will not choose expensive other college , and it is a government college that provide all courses in very affordable price and this college is near to my home . B. Admission procedure is based on 12th percentage and merit list is out from sometime and if the student have name in the list they will get the admission after that student need to submiit there offline documents asked by their college department .

Admission:

I am not applied for other colleges because of some financial problems and this is the nearest and government college that had minimum fees of this course ,but as compared to other colleges the other colleges has ?60k to ?80k per semester fees , so I can't afford the other colleges fees that's why I am selected this college for my studying of my same course.

According to fees this college is best choice.

Dislikes

The college library PC is to slow for recent time work.
The computer lab of BCA department is to small.
You can bring only one at a time from library.

Admission:

According to my financial condition i choose this college becasue in this college the fees is very low according to other college where i applied "DPG group of institution". The DPG college was charge me 60000 per year and not give comitment about placemrnt and mine government college is good in fees the government college will charge me 9000 per year and in my college there is centre "E-KARMA" this is a government centre where we can learn other skills and e karma give placement so thats why i admitted in government college. The admission procees of my college is to simple after the 12th board result the government college form will come in "HIGHER EDUCATION HARYANA" so apply that form and select college and bases on your board percentage the college will select you and send a notification on your SMS.

i am involving in many programs like ncc nss a lot of activities done in this college every single day.
I thing there is need of cleanliness of washrooms and class

i talk about college maintenance no one attention easily for maintenance college campus.
in raini session full campus fill with water and students faces the problem for going another classes.

Admission:

because this college review are very positive to another college. and the this college situated in gurugram that is very developed city that why heres staff very educated and many opportunities are provided by them. Other colleges fees structure are too high except D GC COLLEGE GURUGRAM. Admissions process is very simple and depends on uour 12th marks there is merit bass system .

Life in Dronacharya Government College know as DSD

The water facility in this college is also good as there are water coolers in approx all the blocks

Admission:

To get admission we have to fill an application form released every year by the education department of haryana. After successful registration and application students are sorted for per college on the basis of merit in 12th class and if they meet the cutoff then they get admit in that college if they want. I scored a good percentage in 12th so I got admission in this. i choosed this college over other because it's in metropolitan area and transport is convenient.

Dronacharya government college have a large campus

Some time outsider can cause rush in our college
Some time water shortage in this college
Labs are not in good condition and no proper things are present to perform ab experiment

Infrastructure is really good. And had a good ambience

I chose this college because it comes in my locality and the fee structure is very good . As compared to other BBA colleges its is way more less. That's why i chose this college. Also the infrastructure of the College is very good.

Likes

There is a career development club also available in the college.
Infrastructure is good. The size of library is large.

Dislikes

Campus is good but at some places it is very dirty.

Admission:

To take admission in college you need to submit application form online on the department of higher education website. I didn't apply for any other colleges because I think this is the best college in our locality. The admission will be done on the basis in merit list release by the college. There was not any type of entrance exam for the admission.
