Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra (KUK) is a State University established in the year 1956 and it is also one of the oldest universities in the nation and a unitary residential University located in the holy city of Kurukshetra. The university is accredited with NAAC grade A+. The campus is 475 acres and the institute has 175 courses in campus under 47 departments. Kurukshetra Admissions

Admission to Kurukshetra University will be based on either the marks secured in the qualifying examination or through the entrance examination. For Admission to B.Tech, JEE Main is considered whereas, for admission to the MBA course, CAT is mandatory. Students should have a valid GATE score for admission to M.Tech Admission.

Teachers are very cooperative with the students they are always ready for the help when students need them
Other than studies sports day and lohri celebrations makes very good enviroment for students
Green and clean campus also health facilities provided by them are really good health centre is just 5 min walk away from the chemistry department

Dislikes

Timmings and burden on students is clear so much from 9 am to 5 pm whole day students get busy in lab and classes
Result comes 4-5 months after the exam which is really a very long time period
Checking of exam sheet is really very strict they give you 20% less marks what you expected

Student view on syllabus and exams

Syllabus is very realted to net jrf syllabus. It helps student to clear csir net exam easily. Level of exam is moderate but checking is really very hard.Exam pattern is semeter type every six months you have bew semester. I think the timming of result declaration should be improved

Internship opportunity provided by the college

I went for my summer internship in ongc in mehsana asset for 1 month. It is compulsory for students to do internship after 1st year exams in their vaccation time period They give me internship in the surface chemistry team for the 1 month time period

Placement provided by the college

See placements for msc chemistry students is very limited everywhere. Only some of the students accept placements offer because the ctc is not so much. Most of the students go for net jrf instead of doing private jobs. They prefer to go research and also some students apply for phd in europe or usa where they get really good stipend

Yearly fees structure and scholarship

In first year fees for msc chemistry was 13000 but in the second year it got reduced and it was only 11500rs.On the other hand fees for msc pharmaceutical chemistry is 52k for first year and also 52k for the second year National scholarship which nsp and also sc bc scholarship for students available. And also some scholarships which is given by vice chancellor is also a plus point In which we get 10000 per year as scholarship condition for that is student should not have any backlog in previous semester

Campus Life, sports and various Facilities

Overall experience was really very nice. Students involved in various activities music arts ncc nss. All societies are avialable for the students who are intrested. Sports complex is really very nice and sportsperson also have great opportunity to represent for university in their team

Student views on the faculty and exams

Course structure is like you have to choose one elective subject in second and third semester other than chemistry.And the main subjects you have is physical chemistry organic chemistry and inorganic chemistry.And also have 3 practical exams for same 5 marks awarded for attendence for each subject and 15 marks mid sem exam was taken by respective teachers.

Admission process of the college

I want to join iit but i didnt get selected in iit jam exam. I think it was due to my lineancy in practising questions after that i got the best institute for chemistry in haryana was only this. Thats why opted this for admission i have given entrance exam for admission and got admission offer in first merit list

Night Life

Girls hostel closed at 7pm but boys hostel dont have any type of restriction. Campus markte get closed near 10pm in the evening Hangouts places are like bhram sarover sheikh chilli ka maqbara and many other places Inside the campus we also have darohar showing the culture of haryana state

I liked the ambience of campus . There is so much greenery that you feel very relaxed and calm.
There are many facilities like library , sports ground , auditorium, and you get to attend many events in the university.

Admission:

I applied in arya pg college panipat and I also got admission there . I didn't applied in any other college because I want to go in kurukshetra University. At my time , there was merit base admission but abi it is going to be entrance based.

First of all register the college and he pay 800 ruppees.Then if the seats is not filled then it is easily to get students which get melarks from below 70.so that it only to fill the seats.i.hate my college

Campus is great to experience it's quit good for girl's
Nice faculty it's totally girls college soo there is supporting environment
Infrastructure is also 4 star ⭐ canteen and classroom is well maintained

Dislikes

Somewhere fun activities are less and little bit strict standards are there
Hostel is far distance from college because of space issue
Space of infrastructure is less and messy in parking area

I chose this college because it's secure and ensure safety with good learning environment for girls This is one of the best NAAC accredited semi government college affiliated by kurukshetra University for girls There are huge concession scholarship criteria also for deserving candidate The admission is based on merit list while declaring of results The process of admission is smooth and fast Classes start on time without any delay

A Campus Life

There is idea lab , IoT lab, lifi labs and a lot of other labs also which enables students to show their creativity and skills
The startup ecosystem is too good here in our college. We have dedicated startup incubation centre for willing students.
The central library is too big and has almost all the necessary books for academic and general interests from all the famous authors.

Dislikes

The campus is 31 acres. If it would be 50+ then it would be better
The attendance criteria is strict and you have to maintain a good attendance otherwise you'll have to pay bond.
The library is open for 16 hours a day and not for 24 hours

Admission:

I had a less percentile in my JEE mains (75%ile) and the colleges I was getting at this rank in our NCR region were below average and there were no labs , research facilities, placements and anything. Then I came to know about PIET and applied there and finally got admission

What is the meaning of the first mercy chance at Kurukshetra University?

Kurukshetra University gives you 3 attempts to clear your exam. If you fail at all those three chances the university gives you a mercy chance to clear that examination.

But since there are some students who are still unable to clear these mercy chances. So now they have been categorized as first and second mercy chances. Here as long as you can pay for the form and have time you can continue giving your exams.

How can I get a DMC from Kurukshetra University, if I lost my original DMC?

You can get a DMC from Kurukshetra Universityfollowing these steps:

Buy the latest transcript request form from the photocopy shop (preferred) from Examination wing - II, Kurukshetra University.
Fill in all the details in the form with the required information. Paste your color photograph and sign it.
Pay the fee online on Kurukshetra University website and take a printout of the fee receipt.
Prepare a set of the following documents: photocopies (both sides) of all your semester-wise mark sheets, degree, fee receipt, self-attested ID proof with photo and address clearly visible.
Take the whole set with the original ID and go to the Admin block. Get it attested by the superintendent
After verifying multiple times, they will provide you with an envelope right then on which you have to fill in the address details where it will be posted.
Staple the documents and the envelope from the side and hand it over at the counter.
Again they will verify and then they will stamp a seal on top and write a reference number. Note it down immediately.

After completing these steps you will be sure to have successfully submitted your application.

KUK, Kurukshetra offers the BALLB Hons course. The fee per year for the BALLB course is INR 72,200. The candidates who have obtained 10+2 through open University System directly without having any basic qualification i.e., Matric/ Secondary are not eligible for admission in the B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) 5-Yr. Integrated Course. The Course is open only to whole-time students and not to employed or the self -employed. The candidates who have appeared for the final year of 10+2 Examination and whose results have not been declared may also apply at their own risk and responsibility subject to the fulfillment of the above- mentioned eligibility conditions on the date of counseling. Candidates who are placed under compartment in the qualifying Examination shall not be allowed admission to the course, even provisionally.
