Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course that I am pursuing is quite comphrehensive which teaches one a lot about microeconomics, mathematics and statistics. The books that we learn from are all written by well experienced professors from promiment universities such as Stanford etc. Howvever, there are subjects like Value Addition Course, Skill Enhancement Course and Ability Enahancement Course which deviate one's time from learning more about the core subjects, since these course are also given significant weightage.

Internships Opportunities

5

The placement cell of the college also helps provide internships to the students of the college. The average internship stipend was around 15-20k with companies such as lenskart, EyY, Urban Company, unstop and many more. The placement cell also has a dedicated Internships Department for the same. Along with Interships there are a lot of fellowships and comeptitions that the cell promotes with collaboraters such as DE Shaw, Deloitte and more.

Placement Experience

4

The college has a dedicated placement cell for a variety of placements and Internships. Various packages are offered from well known comapnies to students from different courses. The average package was 5-6 LPA, which is quite good considering the Return on Investment. However, the college can improve this since a lot of colleges in the Delhi University have been offered better.

Fees and Financial Aid

My yearly fees for Ramjas College, persuing B.A. Economics Honours is 16,000 rupees. The fees is significantly lower from other colleges offereing the same course, its because Ramjas College since its foundation has been built for the masses thus being established with this motto in 1917. However, the fees has seen more rise, but it also can be attributed to the yearly inflation.

Campus Life

5

The overall life at Ramjas College is amazing with a plethora of opportunities being offered. Be it from top class societies to a vibrant campus life. Socities at Ramjas are extremely serious and rigorous when it comes to doing work and organising a variety of events, workshops, seminar and more. These societies also collaborate with various institutions making these events more professional and informative.

Admission

I typically applied to colleges abroad for the same course, and got in all of them. However, my decision was influcened by the factor of affordability wheras if I had gone to pursue my education abroad I would have been spending 10 folds the money that Ramjas College costs me. In addition, the current geopolitical situation in countries like The US and Canada also did influence my decision to ahead with Ramjas College, a college known for it's rigor in economics.

Faculty

5

The faculty members of the college, especially the economics department are amazing. They are intellectual and experienced individuals who know how and what they are teaching. The course structure of the Delhi University has recently changed where weightage has also been given to subjects such as VAC, SEC and AEC. Subjects like these dilute our course and what we are trying to learn. Other than that, the marking and exam pattern are well balanced.

Night Life

4

Well I don't know much about the nightlife since I am a dayscholar myself, however there are a lot of thing to explore in and out of the college. Inside the college there is a well air conditioned library equipped with computers for students to work and study weekdays. The area dedicated to sports such basketball, football, volleyball and more is ginormous along with a sports complex for indoor sports such as Table Tennis, Gym among others.

Area that should be improved that is treat every student similarly without any discrimination. Faculty don't even tdke action on sol, IGNOU and NCWEB students. So I think it should be improved firstly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is relevant to the current aspects of real world. It is also very focused on the practical component of the subject and helps us know how to apply our theoretical concepts in real life. Aspects that influenced me were: the practicality, the relatibiltiy of concepts and the testing approaches as well.

Placement Experience:

Since i am 2nd year myself, hearing from seniors, seeing placement cell activities and reading reports, placement at ipcw are decent but far from perfect. The placement drive is not as huge or reliable as some commerce Acc. to the nirf report, for ug courses out of 1204 eligible students 118 got placed, which is roughly 9-10, for pg course, out of 100 eligible students only 6 got placed. Median package for UG was 6.20 lakhs per annum, and for pg is 6.7 lakhs per annum. In earlier years (2022-23) , median UG package was higher. The highest package went to 23 lakhs per annum which was quite impressive. It was from DE Show and co., Wipro, Capgeminie etc. there are regular recruiters like DE. Shaw abd co.,Wipro, Capegemini, Godrej properties, Sirion Labs etc. What i feel personaly as an eco hons. student unless i build extra i cant really expect placement. Masters and competetive exams are next option
