Gargi College Admission Process 2024

Gargi College offers admission to the UG and PG courses. Admission to the UG courses is based on the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). The final selection will be made through e-counselling on the basis of CUET marks. Candidates seeking admission through sports and extracurricular activities will be required to appear for a performance test along with the CUET. Selection of candidates for ECA will be made on a combination of CUET examination score and the candidate’s performance test. Candidates must have a minimum of 25 percent score on their CUET and a minimum of 75 percent score on their performance test. 

Admission to the PG courses at Gargi College is done through CUET PG. As per the DU admission policy, 50% seats will be reserved for DU students, while admission to the 50% seats will be provided through CUET PG. 

Gargi College Application Process

  • Candidates have to register themselves on the common application portal 
  • After the registration, candidates can begin to fill the Online Application Form using their credentials

Course circulum is good. There are some other subjects that are not specific to the main course which are there to improve skills and those are kind of good The rest main subjects are really great for the profession

I am in first year of college so have not had chance to get to know much about placement but most of my seniors have either gone abroad for further studies or for jobs or they are doing their masters in top colleges in India

Total fees of the course

18 thousand is for 1 semester for ba English hons but it changed for different courses. The yearly fees would be something around 36 thousand, there might be a difference because of sc st, also you have other expenses of books and might also have society expenses

My overall experience is kind of good as fellow students are great and some facilities are also really helpful The campus at Gargi is very green and also infrastructure is good There is students of many different cultures which gives exposure and also there are a lot of societies which help in both professional and personal development

Hostel facilities provided by the college

There is no hostel at Gargi college however there are a lot of pgs near gargi which provide a lot of facilities like AC laundry food and some even include electricity in the rent In most of the pgs you have to share room with others

Faculty of gargi is so so at first they are very great but slowly they have a 360 turn in there personality but what they teach is really good the faculty at gargi has very good knowledge of subjects and their teaching and view are magnificent also some teachers are really great at both teaching and handling students Exams at gargi are moderate not too hard not too easy If you have read the content once and understood it you can pass

Admission process of the college

I applied to colleges in north campus and South campus as I wanted admission in Delhi University. I am in gargi which is top college of South campus and is relatively great and as I have seen its faculty and students are great in regard to other colleges of Delhi University I applied for other colleges in north campus but didn't get it as my marks did not make it in the cutoffs Admission process was easy and on online bases which was great as I live far from Delhi and couldn't come again and again for admission process

Night Life

Gargi college closes at 5 30 in the evening and there is no hostel so there is no night life at gargi But in the daytime students can hangout in garden and canteen or Nescafe Also there is liberary which provides access to vast variety of books

Hindu College was certainly the dream place and score too was enough to get admission there. However, my parents sent me to Delhi with a condition that I can apply only in Ladies college. LSR was far fetched and the next best girls college is definitely Gargi and thus I took the admission here. 760-775 is the cut-off for B.Com program at Gargi.

CUET is the best thing that has happened as otherwise when it was on percentage basis our college cut-offs were 96 percent minimum. Luckily now the benchmark is set on 90 and rest all on CUET score. The CUET cut-off varies like it was 776 the year I took admission and last year it was 779 out of 800.

I obviously like every girl in India wanted LSR but 790 was the cut-off for LSR and for Gargi it was 772. I missed my mark by 6 numbers or percentile or else I would have been reviewing LSR currently. However, Gargi too is above rest of the Girls Colleges of Delhi and if not the best second best also works because it's almost the end of my course and I have no complaints whatsoever.

I applied to all the top colleges in DU, gargi is one of the bests when it comes to humanities. So getting selected in gargi was really a joyous event for me. I thought for a while that I could've found a even better college if I had studied harder but giving to gargi has taught me that this is the best for me. The admissions take place through CUET exams and if your score is around 700+ /800, congratulations you can get into gargi very easily

The registration process for admission generally starts after the declaration of the CUET result for admission to Gargi College. Candidates who selected Delhi University while filling out the CUET application can register themselves on the DU CSAS portal and choose the college and course preferences. The entire process of seat allotment is carried out through the DU CSAS portal for both UG and PG courses in multiple rounds. Candidates can check the seat allotment result on the CSAS dashboard. Being affiliated to Delhi University (a central university), Gargi College can not provide admissions directly. The admission to the UG courses is based on CUET UG examination and admission to PG Courses is based on DUET Examination.
