  • Once the provisionally allocated seat is accepted, the administration of Gargi College will approve the seat allotment by verifying the eligibility and documents uploaded by the candidate.

AI-Generated Summary based on 110 Reviews

Admission to Delhi University's Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) requires candidates to clear the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). The test typically includes one language paper and three core commerce subjects: Accountancy, Business Studies, and Economics. The application process can be initiated via the CUET website with an application fee that varies by category, around INR 1500 for general candidates. The exam is moderate in difficulty, and candidates from special categories, such as SC/ST, benefit from reservation policies resulting in lower cutoff scores.

For example, while the general cutoff score for Gargi College hovers around 700-732, it can drop to approximately 560 for ST candidates. The CUET exam is conducted in May and June, scored out of 800 points, with timely application and preparation crucial to securing a place. Once results are declared, students undergo a centralized counselling and document verification process, selecting colleges based on their scores and allotments. Gargi College, a preferred choice for its reputation and safe environment, requires competitive scores, typically above 700, with some courses demanding a minimum 96 percentile.

For individuals seeking options like SRCC or LSR, achieving higher CUET scores is essential. Direct or management quota admissions aren't mentioned, emphasizing the standardized entrance exam process. Proper planning regarding exam centers and adherence to timelines ensures a smooth admission journey.

I applied for Delhi University and Jawaharlal University for an undergraduate degree. I give the CUET examination to get admission in college, I scored 713/800 from general catego6and got Gargi in my first allotment, I was really happy because I was aiming for this college as the faculty of english is so nice here. I didn't went to some other College because it has been a dream to be a part of DU circuit for a long time. The admission process was quite easy, we got forms out and we had to make a preference list according to the Colleges and courses desired for. Once you get your allotment, you have to pay the fee and freeze the college, after that you can goto college on the orientation day with a print of few receipt in your hands.

i applied to several other Delhi University colleges as well like lsr, miranda and hindu. i was initally thinking of shortlisting for ashoka or symbiosis, but i couldn't qualify for financial aid which made it financially inviable. at symbiosis i cleared the written exam but wasn't fully clear about the circulum or the student culture. The admission process was fairly simple in my opinion i gave the CUET and filled in my preferance list, my scores were pretty comfortable for clearing the cutoff, though I did not aplly under any reservation category. the process was smooth overall, everything was done throught the samarth portal online and very eaisly.

I missed my mark by 6 numbers or percentile or else I would have been reviewing LSR currently. However, Gargi too is above rest of the Girls Colleges of Delhi and if not the best second best also works because it's almost the end of my course and I have no complaints whatsoever.
