Which college is better for doing B.Com Hons. in Delhi university: Gargi or Shaheed Bhagat Singh?

Both Gargi and Shaheed Bhagat Singh are well-regarded colleges with equally good reputations. They are located in the same city and even their year of establishment is the same. The faculty pools are great. So choosing one over the now depends more on your preference. If you are serious about your academics and future you can go for the all-girls college, Gargi but if you want a more vibrant college experience, go for SBS. As a whole, it can be said that Gargi has better placement opportunities while SBS has a tad bit better faculty pool. Now the choice is yours!

The infrastructure of the college is unkempt and not very impressive. In addition, the tuition fee is quite high at 2.25 lakhs per year, and the cost of living expenses can add up to approximately 4-5 lakhs per year, which includes the cost of the hostel. The hostel is cheaper, but they are Non-AC and usually unavailable on a first-come basis. Additionally, the placement reports at NMIMS may be inflated. In contrast, Gargi is a well-known DU college with a much lower tuition fee of around 60-70k for three years. Living expenses in the Siri Fort area may be expensive, but they are definitely less than in Mumbai. Gargi is also visited by good companies, which means that you will have good placement opportunities after completing your studies. As both BCom and BBA courses are similar, you will receive equal opportunities after completing your undergraduate studies. However, Gargi would be a more cost-effective option with better infrastructure, making it a better choice overall

Among these institutes, Daulat Ram Collge has a great Commerce faculty base. The professors are well-experienced and dedicated. They help students with their doubts even after college hours. It is situated on the north campus. It is a fun place to be. There is always some event going on. Also, Daulat Ram has a great fest called Manjari. Gargi College and Indraprastha College for Women are also good alternatives. If you clear the required cutoff for all these colleges, your preference order should be Daulat Ram>I.P>Gargi.

One of my friends studied Commerce at Daulat Ram and it had a fantastic faculty. Here are some things that she considered made it better than the other two. The professors were dedicated and committed to their classes. They were highly experienced as well. The college recently had many positive improvements making it one of the most trendiest colleges. It is at the North Campus which was an advantage in itself. Culturally, Daulat Ram College (DRC) encouraged students to take part in fests, societies, clubs and even go for inter-collegiate competitions. Manjari is the most important college fest of DRC. Indraprastha College is overall a beautiful college with very high education standards. But being a bit isolated from the North Campus, students tend to miss the city life. Gargi more or less provides a similar atmosphere like DRC. Therefore, it is suggested that you opt for DRC or Gargi followed by Indraprastha College.

Gargi College - Honest Review

Fees and Financial Aid:

For commerce, the normal yearly fee is only 15,000 rupees. For students with quota like OBC,SC/ST, it may get even lower and discounted. In my first year, I paid 14,500. In the second year, I paid 15,000 and in my final year, I paid 18,000. So, It does increase by 2000-3000 rupees every year depending on your course and if you have taken up anything extra as well. There is no such other fee but if you are a commerce student, you may have to give some fee around 1800 for The Commerce Association if you want to attend commerce events. All in all, I believe Gargi is very affordable, especially for students looking for government colleges with good facilities.

Gargii a place of diverse inclusivity

in first year, I paid ?14000 and in my second year i paid 15000 and now in my third year, I paid 19000. I don't belong to any category of reservation . Peoples belonging from reservation category, get some kind of relaxation in fees as compare to the students of general category .

Gargi College: A comprehensive overview of college experience

The fees at Gargi College for B.Com(Hons.) is approximately INR 17000 yearly, which increases yearly but not by a large amount. Every semster the students have to pay examination fees which depends on the course and subjects chosen by the student. The examination fees is around INR 1800. There is scholarship opportunities for people from EWS quota. Students from B.Com(Prog) pay a slightly less amount which is around INR 15000.

College life at Gargi

In my first year, I paid 15,000 rs for my course i.e B.com Hons. Each semester, there is an examination fee which has to be paid which is around 1,500 rs. In the start of my second year, I have paid 17,500 rs. The fee varies from course to course, and if the student has any quota.

Gargi college- One of the best college of DU.

Per semester fees for Bcom hons is 15000-20000. It can vary every year as the college is adding new infrastructure. There are chances for fee waiver for people who have annual income of less then 4 lakh. There is no as such reservation thing in fee structure.

In the first year 2023 i paid 15750 Rs for the b. Com hons in gargi college, du. Examination fee depend on your papers opted by you including core papers, sec, vac, ge, aec. I paid examination fee in second semester amounted to 2000 rs. Now i recently paid my second year annual fee of 17995rs . So there was almost 2K increase in fee. College is also offering scholarship for caste categories and for 9+cgpa students.

The college provides a large variety of courses and some of them are the best ones throughout University.

The fees per year from first to third year was around 15000 a year. Apart from that you have your departmental fees which comes later and it depends from department to department. Some Scholarships are also available.
