Campus Life

I am a fresher so I don't know that much but there are some events and functions which are pretty well and nicely organised with refreshments. These functions are held in festivals or special days. The library contains wide range of books for every course in the college. It's well maintained and clean. Sports is there but I don't think so it's much active but I would really like them to Elevate and address more things relating to sports activities.

Faculty

I think there is a lot going on and as for the faculty members they are nice and friendly. For my course, B.el.ed there is only 1 exam taken in a year. I wish we had more tests for preparing ourselves better. In this course students fail. As the b.el.ed course opts for wide-ranging thoughts and confidence it is considered a bit difficult. Otherwise there are practicals and theory exams which are held in this course.

Campus Life

Overall campus experience is not so good. Infrastructure is bad, it lies on the outskirts of the Delhi, no maintenance of hygiene. Few fests take place in our college like freshers party will be held after DUSU elections and some concerts are also held but only a few fests are there in our college. Library is really good and big so books are available according to courses like b.el.ed course has separate library, ba program has separate. But library opens 10am. Facilities and technology provisions are very bad in classrooms. Nss and all are available and societies are also available like dance society etc are there but we have to give admission for that. Sports is also there like badminton, volleyball, etc. we can take from sports room and play anytime

Course Curriculum Overview

Basically I choosed this course because I wanted to be a teacher since childhood but when I listened to my family members I came to knew that govt teachers earn alot. Other than that our college is too good for b.el.ed. teachers keep check on us for your studies. And to apply b.el.ed in real life we will be going to slum areas for around a week at the end of the semester to get to know things better. Few areas were teaching methods should be improved is that one of our teacher is to strict she just throws out of the class without giving attendance. She should understand that we're travelling from so far it takes around 1hour 30min for me to reach college and not giving attendance is a really bad thing.

Campus Life

My Overall experience has been pretty good here. When I first entered college I didn't had much idea about anything that happens except for my classes but here 2 years after I am a part of 2 societies! Trust me involvement in societies would turn around your college life. It's very happening, you meet different people , you go out with them , sometimes go for trips and even different colleges. The library of our college is really good and peaceful although network issues are everywhere in our college except for that it is a descent college. The facilities in classrooms is there , every classroom has fans during our exams some classroom gets installed with coolers which I found amusing.

Faculty

The student ratio in our course can go upto 70 above since we only have 1 class per year and not sections. Even with such disbalanced ratio there doesn't seem to be any problem in teaching or interactions between the students and teachers. For subject where individual attention is required we are divided into groups with different teachers. The faculty and teachers of our course are awesome. I find my teachers really open and sweet , I can approach them without thinking much . They give best advices too! and also help us with our work. The course and subjects are built in such a way that each student gets proper interaction with teachers.

Faculty

Okay so if I talk about my faculty members so in my department there are 12 professors they support each other to cop up with us . No doubt all are well educated with the aim to teach us and make a responsible person as well as they hard work for us to make us stable in life. So I'm pursuing b El Ed from university basically its a teaching course where you learn about the teaching skills of elementary school . Our course is based on practical learning which ehnaces our practical skills . We have to do internships in all type of school . The curriculum is designed very carefully which supports mainstream school aswell as inclusive schools . The student teacher ratio is 60 :1 . This is a huge strength and a pressure on a teacher to taught us . But yes the hardwork of there is just incredible.

Fees and Financial Aid

So the course is around 70 to 80 thousand for four years . But in yearly there's a little difference in first year you have to pay 16 thousand then jn second year there is 18 thousand and third year onwards there 18 thousand . So basically that 80 thousand divide in different parts. The scholarships are provided by the college as well as delhi university itself.

Faculty

I'm under qualified to answer that but the faculty that I got was commendable. I'm more than grateful to share the same space with such well qualified and knowledgeable teachers. They provided us with a safe space to approach them for any inconvenience and always guided us like our fellow mates. One thing I liked the most in our discussions was that the teachers never limited us to the syllabus. They encouraged us to find our own meanings and create our own learning. They provided us with the material but never followed the spoon feeding method. They used those methods that they would expect us to use in our future classrooms which were mostly learner centric. Wven tho the faculty to student ratio was 1:55. They never made us feel underconfident or clueless, always devoted specified time to give individual attention and address our concerns even though it meant making tutorials mandatory. One of my personal favourite method was brainstorming which ensured maximum participation in the c

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum was well designed and equipped with a scope for open learning and other creative methods too. The curriculum had included most of the teaching methods thay cater to small groups and help provide individualised attention such as assignments, project work, tutorial, etc. We were given interesting topics for assignments wherein we were supposed to observe our surroundings for a well stipulated time and write our analysis based on the same. It was totally different from copy paste method. The idea of teaching that this course and curriculum has provided us is far beyond the actual situation of education system in India. It is based on practical methods and allowed us to get insights into real life situations and how we can apply these teaching methods to our future classrooms

Fees and Financial Aid

So the overall fees for the 4 yrs of this program was around 100000 and for workshops and extra curricular activities there was another structure as per need and situation. Scholarship was provided by UP GOVERNMENT. But scholarship system is not so good , we can't depend on the scholarship to pay our fee

Campus Life

The classes were regular. Some extra co curricular activities were also used to organise at time to time like workshops and all. But there should be a improvement in terms of providing more facilities.. A small Library was also there which was not sufficient, they should add more books in that library.

Course Curriculum Overview

As to a teacher, B.El.Ed course is essential so I choose this course. Its Curriculum is all about teaching and is easy to moderate to learn. Faculty members are also cooperative and help in learning students more easily. Faculty - it's 1:40 or 1:45, with one teacher on 40 or 45 students. Qualification of the faculty:- They are Post Graduates and are mostly allotted by Universities in colleges. Their teaching method is also good, they teach with practicals so the students can learn properly. Exams are yearly, and moderate to pass, one can pass if he/she has properly and regularly attended the classes.

Fees and Financial Aid

Course Fees per year are 40000Rs One should also pay 5000Rs as an Exam fee. Scholarship is by UP Govt, but it's not necessary that you will get it every 4 years, it's up to the government. And around 22000 is the scholarship if you get it. I personally got a scholarship only in 1st year, not in 2nd and 3rd year, let's see if I get in 4th year or not. So as we don't receive scholarships it becomes a little costly to study this course. In 4th year we have to go for internships in schools for 2 or 3 months but the sad part is they are also unpaid.
