Faculty

There is 1 faculty for 10students . The teachers are very friendly, supportive. You can share problems with them . They will guide you as a mother. Personally i like Uma mam, Dr.Manishi Pandey Mam and Dr. Nishu Tiwari mam. All faculties are good but these three are my favorites. I like them because they call me from my name. They knew my name so like it that i have also a separate identity. They knew me from my work and they always praise me ,guides me ,motivates me , their teaching method is different in comparison to others. The faculty that i don't like is Head of the department. I will not take her name but personally i don't like her because in front of yor face she will act so nicer but in back she will always do whatever she like. She doesn't care others. Like B.Ed is divided into 4 semester so at the end of each semester, final exams are conducted but before final exams mid semester exams also conducted to evaluate your self and work on your problems and prepare for final exams. The paper level is moderate and if we calculate how many students get failed so it will be approx 2 or 3 maximum in 100 students. And these students failed because of their own carelessness. The course curriculum is according and followed the norms of NEP 2020.

Course Curriculum Overview

The main aspect of choosing B.Ed course was i want to become teacher and my passion is teaching. So it is mandatory to do B.Ed if you want to become a government teacher. The curriculum of B.Ed course connects me from reals world like now i understand peoples situations very well and also try to solve their problems. Now i am able to communicate with students also and whatever i studied in pedagogy now i able to apply those concepts in each and every child according to their abilities and situations. The main areas where needs improvements is teaching methods and placement. Because after doing B.Ed their is no surity that you will get job and the teaching methods are not updated. Like our country is moving towards technologies so our youth and future generations should be aware of changes and make them capable to understand technology. The time duration for exam is 2 hours but according to me it is less as compare to length and difficulty level of examination. So it should be 3 hours and 3 hours is sufficient to complete full paper according to me.

There are smart boards in the classroom and the chalkboards as well Yeah, they are social clubs, and social groups, which students and teacher run together

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is about 1:98. Faculties are highly approachable and they help students also. I like Dr. Parul Pandit Ma'am because she is a gem and she is really co-operative. There is nobody whom I don't like there. There are semester exams and mid term exam and they are of moderate level.

Fees and Financial Aid

The first admission fee was Rs.10,700 which included a refundable caution money of Rs3000, this fee includes tution fee, registration fee etc. Subsequently the fees for 2nd sem was Rs5700 For 3rd sem, it was Rs9000 And for 4th sem, it was Rs5700 The mess fees were collected on average of 100rs per day... And the hostel accommodation fee was rs900 per month For reserved category students like SC & ST, the hostel accommodation fee was exempted. The university didn't provided any scholarship.

Faculty

There was plenty of faculties and faculty to student ratio is good.how ever the faculties are less co-operative and they set us free so that, we should understand the concept by ourselves. The university follows semester pattern,(yearly twice) and the exam question paper is prepared by the university itself. The level of questions is moderate to hard depending upon the subjects.

The curriculum modules were made easy to understand and we had a great time learning. I had to undergo an internship during third year of my course. The internship turned out to be great. The exams were mostly held during the months of May and december after the completion of a semester.

Campus Life

I mainly loved science clud since the club worked on improvement of human lives through science. There were not other clubs. Their was lack of focus on other EXTRA curricular activities which made college life a bit boring.

Faculty

The number of faculty in the college is 6 professors,5 working staff,5 helpers.I can't name the professors but each and every professor is very helpful and they actually make every lesson easy.None of the faculty in HJ is such that one can dislike the reason behind that they are very encouraging towards a student. The total number of exams are 4 semester and the chances of getting failed in it is less but if one does fail then they can re-apply for that particular subject.

Placement Experience

After the fourth semester one becomes eligible for the campus placement.Schools like utpal sanghvi, gems world academy, jbcn school and many such schools are the part of the placement cell. Each and every student is been placed in one of the well renowned schools. The packages completely depend on the intellectual and intelligence of the student. It completely confidential with the student and the schools.100% placement. Will pursue M.A after this degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

According to the Government new rule on girls education there is free education which government provides for girls that is 100% tuition fees are paid by them. Before, it was 50% scholarship for Obc students. But, my college is charging fees as development fees to pay as 10,000/- plus the charging some extra charges including stationary, i-card, eligibility form as 3,700. So, the fees which college charge from the students and also getting scholarship amount from government are not fulfill because there are poor infrastructure in the college and not more facilities available in college like canteen, print shop, etc. Another issue is Placement, is also so poor in college as the area is smart city but college is the worst.

Faculty

Exams are just ongoing in the college continouly and the students ratio are increased as new admission are more this year and the cutoff range got so high. It is so difficult to get a good college with all facilitate for students. Teaching of Teachers are also not good not understandable and exams are also more with 3 unit test of 30 marks and In sem exam with 30 marks and End sem exam with 70 marks & Viva/Practicals are more hectic for students with projects.

Ques. Can I prepare in 1 month for a B.Ed entrance exam at DU?

● Top Answer By Inayat on 10 Oct 22

Ans. The requirements for B.Ed admission to DU are as follows: Written Exam: If you work smartly and analyze the pattern of questions asked in previous examinations, devote a focused time period to preparation, followed by sufficient practice tests, you can certainly clear in one month.  If you are well-versed in your subject matter, there is very little required for you to do. Hard work comes after good fortune. So, first and foremost, your planning should be smart, and then, you must work and prepare well beyond the planned strategy. Each of us has our own set of self-beliefs and abilities. Thus, you do not have to compare yourself with any other person. Just believe in yourself and go ahead.  Interview:  During the interview, a panel of teachers/interviewers/professors will fire off all sorts of questions at you, including subject questions, psychology questions, general knowledge questions, confidence check questions, and, most importantly, your honesty, which is one of the most important aspects of being a good teacher. A good strategy, a lot of planning, focused work, confidence as well as a strong belief in yourself, are required.Read more

Ques. How is the correspondence B.Ed from Kurukshetra University?

● Top Answer By Anupama Mitra on 20 Oct 21

Ans. Apart from IGNOU, no other university offers decent corresponding B.Ed degrees. It is better to join a regular B.Ed course in your nearest possible university or college. Regular B.Ed courses will teach you how to give micro lessons in a school.  Attend classes frequently, if you can’t be present every day. Courses such as B.Ed are best to do in regular mode. Because recommendations of the B.Ed professors, the grade and response of the actual school where you taught, will count.Read more

Ques. Is Burdwan University good for a B.Ed?

● Top Answer By Poushali Bhattacharya on 28 Sept 21

Ans. Burdwan University, at present, has the largest number of B.Ed affiliated colleges in the state of West Bengal. However, all the B.Ed universities fall under the category of “The West Bengal University of Teachers' Training, Education and Administration”. This procedure was started with CU, KU, etc. So, it does not necessarily matter from where you pursue your B.Ed degree. The only important factor to ensure is whether or not the university you have enrolled in has come under the NCTE website (Eastern Zone) during and after your course period. It is because the courses often lose their course validity period which is exactly why you should be aware of your steps.  Rest assured, Burdwan University is one of the most scoring universities for pursuing a B.Ed. Read more
