Goa BEd Admission 2024: Application Form, Entrance Exam, Eligibility, Counselling, Participating Colleges

The Goa BEd Admission 2024 process is done based on the GU-ART entrance exam. Interested candidates can apply for Goa BEd Admission 2024 till January 23, 2024. 

The DHE started the registration process for Goa BEd Admission 2024 based on GU ART scores. The GU ART exam was conducted between February 11, 18 and 25, 2024 and March 3 and 10, 2024. The counselling process will be conducted offline by DHE after the registration process has been concluded. 

BEd is a teaching course for those who keep a passion for teaching and learning. Admissions for BEd in Goa are conducted by the Directorate of Higher Education Goa a Bachelor of Education. The course lasts for 2 years and is divided into 4 semesters. Applicants who apply for BEd admissions in Goa are offered colleges affiliated with Goa University. Applicants who are interested in securing a seat in the BEd course in Goa must appear in the GU-ART entrance exam.

Goa BEd Admission 2024: Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidate for the Bachelor of Education Course must have passed and qualified a Bachelor or a Postgraduate Degree Examination of Goa University or from any other recognized and known University with an aggregate minimum score of 50% marks
  • In case a candidate has graduated with the BTech/BE Course, they must score a minimum of 55% marks in their undergraduate or postgraduate degree.
  • The candidate must be an Indian citizen
  • A valid score in the entrance exam, GU-ART.

Goa BEd Admission 2024: Merit List

  • The merit list is made available in online mode. The Candidates must check the merit list from the official website and from time to time update.
  • The released merit list contains the full name, subject, admit card, registration number, ranking, and category of the candidate.
  • Merit List for the General category and the Reserved category are released separately.
  • Only the candidates with names on the merit list are eligible for the counseling round.

Goa BEd Admission 2024: Counseling Procedure

  • Goa BEd Counselling is conducted after the completion of the exam. The Candidate must attend the counseling at the allotted time and venue by the authority.
  • They must carry the required documents in an original format such as a Reserved Category Certificate, Graduation/Post Graduation Certificate, etc.
  • The choices and preferences of the candidate are made clear in the counseling round.
  • Once the counseling round is complete, the candidates are allotted their final seats and college to commence with the course.
  • At the final stage, document verification and payment of the fee will finalize the admission of the candidate.

Ans. A B.Ed from IGNOU has a similar value to a B.Ed through regular mode. The coursework is almost as taxing as a regular B.Ed. As for recruitment, your teaching skills will matter more than your institution. You can apply for private schools and Govt. jobs. Ans. Apart from IGNOU, no other university offers decent corresponding B.Ed degrees. It is better to join a regular B.Ed course in your nearest possible university or college.
