Bihar BEd Admission is conducted by the Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Darbhanga. Admission is based on Bihar B.Ed CET entrance exam followed by a counselling process. 

The last centralized counselling and admission round is completed. The last date for document verification and admission was October 22, 2024. The last date of admission for waitlisted candidates was October 29, 2024.

BEd is a professional 2-year teacher training course. Candidates must have completed their graduation to be eligible to apply for the B.Ed course and qualify for the Bihar B.Ed CET to seek admission to the B.Ed course in Bihar.

Bihar B.Ed Admission Process 2024

Candidates must fill out the Bihar BEd application form online. The detailed application process is mentioned below.

• Fill your full name as given in your certificate of High School or equivalent examinations. Don’t add any honorific title like Shree/ Shreemati/ Kumari/ Sushree /Doctor etc. with your name.
• Fill in your Date of Birth in DD/MM/YYYY format as given in your certificate of High School/Secondary or any other examinations.
• Enter your E-mail ID, and verify using OTP. 
• Enter your 10-digit mobile number and verify using OTP.  
• Mention your gender.
• Choose your nationality. 
• If candidate is a resident of Bihar, choose ‘Bihar; or ‘Other. If the Candidate is not a resident of Bihar he/she will not get benefits of reservation. To upload the residential certificate, click before the Reserved or Unreserved category, as applicable. 
• If the applicant belongs to Divyaang Category and wants to take benefit of reservation, in that case, click ‘Yes’. Note that it is essential to upload the relevant certificate in the specified format, issued by the Chief Medical Officer or duly constitution board and after that select sub-category.
• Select your marital status.
• For identification, enter your Aadhar Number/ Voter ID No./Driving Licence No./PAN No./Passport No. 
• If the applicant wants to avail the benefit of Service Men Quota or Divyaang, he/she must select the relevant category here. It will be essential to present the relevant certificate at the time of counselling. At the time of filling up the application form, upload a copy of the same. Also, Service Man Quota (SMQ) benefits can be availed by Bihar resident and son or unmarried daughter only.
• For correspondence, applicants must mention their name and full postal address (It is mandatory to provide PIN CODE with the postal address.)
• Upload the Marks Sheet of Matric or equivalent, and Intermediate or equivalent.
• Mention the full Marks and aggregate obtained Marks in Bachelor Program. Upload the Marks Sheet of the Bachelor Programme.
• Mention the full Marks and Aggregate Marks Secured in the Post-Graduate Program, and upload the Marks Sheet of the PG Programme if necessity. 
• Applicants have to choose the names of three cities for the entrance test.

Bihar BEd Admission 2024: Eligibility Criteria

The detailed eligibility criteria for Bihar B.Ed admission is given below:

• Candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3) and/or in the Master’s Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/ Humanities/ Commerce or Bachelor’s in Engineering/Technology with specialisation in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent.

Minimum Qualification to Appear in the Examination of Shiksha Shastri Admission 

• Candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3) with Sanskrit (as the main subject) and Master’s Degree in Sanskrit/Archarya in traditional Sanskrit Shastra with 50% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto are eligible to appear in admission test for the Shiksha Shastri programme.
• Shastri B.A. (Including Sanskrit Subject) with minimum 50% marks by recognized University or institution with two-year course, Acharya (First Year) MA (Sanskrit) must pass examination (bridge Course) for first year. In percentage determination Acharya First Year or MA first year marks will not be helpful.

The Bihar BEd CET exam pattern is given below.

• The Bihar BEd CET exam is conducted in online mode.
• The total duration of the exam is 2 hours
• There will be 120 MCQ-type questions. There is no negative marking for a wrong answer.
• The Bihar BEd CET will be divided into 5 major sections: General English Comprehension, General Hindi, Logical & Analytical Reasoning, General Awareness, and Teaching-Learning Environment in Schools.
