Admission:

My initial experience in college wasn't good. As a new comer I had to face a lot of difficulties for getting a seat inspite of having 85%marks in std.12th. The college has reservation system for gujarati people and college even charge less fee from gujarati in comparison to other students. I have to pay 25,000 as 1st year fee plus mission on fee, prospectus etc. Moreover there was no online application process at that time so i had to visit college ample of times until finally I got the admission.

Alumni/Alumna:

I had a very bad experience on this. The office workers don't receive Call and even if they receive then they'll tell you to visit college and have a talk to discuss any matter. I was an outstation student so I had to went through a lot of hardship, for getting even small info I had to travel all way to Kolkata. They even send you home if you're late for even 5mins for filling up exam forms. They don't listen when you explain reason for late arrival.

Placement Experience:

The college's placement cell started getting good companies for packages of INR 1,50,000 to 3,00,000 which is decent enough for fresh graduates. However not many students are interested in placements at DU colleges as they are either planning to persue higher education or are into professional courses. This was especially true for my course, B.com(H) as so many students from my batch were into CA/CS/CWA. Many others were preparing to persue M.COM or MBA. However not all students got placements & many who were desirous of working did search for jobs on their own.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course Computer Science Hons. fee is too high i.e. approx Rs. 27,000 per year which is really high as compared to other courses. Scholarship is provided on the basis of Family income criteria but that is too low. And not even enough to match with 1/3rd of my course fee. About 400 students getting this scholarship loans are not needed yet but if the fees is only like that it may rise to a situation to take loans.
