Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University is a state university established by the Govt. of Tamil Nadu for promoting the excellence in teacher’s education. It is the only one of its kind in the country. The main object of the university is to provide good training and a proper degree of the teachers; so that they can build up better students. There are 657 TNTEU Affiliated Colleges that are offering Bachelor of Education degree Course.
The courses offered by TNTEU include B.Ed, M.Ed, and research programs in the field of education. The university provides the Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship Scholarship for SC/ ST Candidates. TNTEU Admission

Admission to B.Ed, M.Phil, and Part-time PhD program is based on merits obtained by the students in the previous qualifying examination.
