Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University (TNTEU) is inviting applications for the B.Ed and B.Ed (Spl) Degree Programmes for the academic session 2024-25 (1st Year). The last date for online admission and online eligibility fee payment has been extended up to November 15, 2024.

Reservation of Seats
- Reservation of seats for candidates belonging to OC, BC, BC(M), MBC/DNC, SC, SC(A) and ST communities will be made as per the rules and regulations of the Government of Tamil Nadu, as follows:
- Open Competition (OC): 31%
- Backward Classes (BC): 26.5%
- Backward Classes Muslims (BCM): 3.5%
- Most Backward Classes (MBC) and Denotified Communities (DNC): 20%
- 15% for Scheduled Castes (SC): 15%
- Scheduled Castes Arunthathiyars (SCA): 3%
- Scheduled Tribes (ST): 1%
- 10 seats shall be reserved in the single window counseling for the benefit of students of the Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar under OC Category Only.
- Admission to every College of Education shall be made strictly by following the rule of reservation as per law in force including the Management quota seats of Non-Minority Aided Colleges.
- For the Wards of Ex-Servicemen of Tamil Nadu origin, one seat will be reserved in each College of Education.
- 5% of the sanctioned strength will be reserved for Differently abled students in each College of Education. Additionally, 5 seats are exclusively allotted for Visually Challenged candidates in each College of Education.
Selection Process
- The Selection of candidates will be done purely on merit-basis.
- The date, time and venue of the counselling will be published on the website/ press/ media. No request for a change of date/time of counselling is permissible.
- The candidate will not be considered for selection if he/she fails to report at the specified time and date for counselling with all the certificates in original.
- The provisionally selected candidates have to join the allotted college within the date notified in his/her admission order, failing which his/her allotment will be cancelled and the seat will be deemed to have fallen vacant.
Eligible candidates must visit the official website and complete the online application before the last date. The certificate verification date will be announced later.
