The Sri Muthukumaran College of Education (SMCE), Chennai was established in 1996. It is affiliated by Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University and is self-financed college. The college offers Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) course. The college has been recognized by National Council for Teachers Education (NCTE).
The college provides the best quality of education. SMCE produce the best teachers which develop our societies. The Motto of our institution is best described as Empowering Teachers. The college has excellent facilities and infrastructure to support the academic activities for students. The College library is well-stocked and provided with over 3000 volumes of books including reference books, encyclopedias, yearbooks, journals, magazines, Newspapers, New Letters etc.
