Individual responses to the course and curriculum may vary. My experience with overall course was good. However, i feel difficulties in understanding physics, chemistry, and biochemistry. People from non-science background also joins our course that's why i feel that college and faculty should focus on these subject and should increase the number of lectures and practicals for these science-basef subjects. Other subject like textile sciences and communication are good with syllabus. Thess subject has helped me gain knowledge about real India, the cultural values of India, and how India is changing.

I choose this course because home science was my favourite subject when I was in 11th or 12th standard and I got good marks in this particular subject so that's why I choose to continue this course in my college too. I also took part in academics or societies in college. The teaching methods are good but sometimes classes are held in that some which every student hate like they are not proper ventilated so they should have to improve this. The exam timings always between 9-12 mostly. They free us as soon as possible during exams.

The curriculum for Bachelors in Education is quite extensive as it is a 2 year programme. The first year includes all the theory subjects along with the observation internships within the school for a month. This helps one to gain the insights from an observers point of view and inclucate better teaching startegies in his/her teaching practice. During the second year, all the life skills are learnt here. Not only a teaching practice of 6 months but frequent visits to science museums, national conferences, competitions and programmes, take place that impart knowledge beyond the walls of the classroom. This helps the learner to modify thier teaching process and create new teaching-learning aids.

As I was really interested in food and nutrition subject that's why I choose this course. If I talk about student teacher ration then it is 20:1 and all the faculty members are really highly educated.

I didn't choose this course but I ended up opting for it as I wasn't eligible for any other course. Even in Lady Irwin College, I got admission with a special cut-off. The faculty is supportive and concerned towards students. The curriculum is practically based.

I choose this course because, in the home science pass course, you have multiple subjects in it without any one particular subject like history Hons, etc. And when I was in 11th class, I was interested in home science subject so I took this subject in 11th also. The class and faculty are good as in each class, the strength is 20-22 students. All teachers are experienced as they mostly graduated from our college and the teaching method is good as all teachers use a different method to teach their students. The exams were mostly easy and the gap between exam is up to 5 months because there is 2 semester in 1 year.

I'm a Humanities student and I had a Home Science in 12th class. When I didn't get selected for political courses so I wanted to take this subject and this course. The faculty of this college are very sweet and helpful. Their teaching method is also nice as they provide notes and teach with the ppts. The term exams are not very difficult if students study properly they can pass the exams easily.
The course contains 5 disciplines, food and nutrition, human development and childhood studies, fabric and apparel sciences, resource management, and dynamics of communication extension. The faculty members were quite encouraging. They are so friendly.
I have chosen this course because I am a person who loves to have variety in life. That's the most prominent reason for choosing this subject as Home Science is a multi-disciplinary subject. It offers 5 specializations ( FN, DCE, HDCS, RMDA &FAS ) to study. In the first 2 years, all 5 specializations are taught and in the final year, one specialization is chosen based on merit. The student ratio is pretty good i.e. 20:1. It has supportive and helpful faculty members who are mastered in their subjects. Examinations are held per semester after every 6 months in a scheduled manner. And it is quite easy to pass the exam with flying colors by just going through the last year's question papers
I had keen interest in the subject biochemistry that is the study of biology and chemistry. I was also always fascinated by food processing and technology which lead me to pursued this wonderful course . Here at lady Irwin college the faculty is very helpful and sincere exams are held twice a year that is one exam per semester. Difficulty of exams is high but one can pass with flying colors if studied hard.
