My college Life

Likes

I liked the college campus, the college campus is calm and the environment is so peaceful.
I like how the teachers are so supportive there . The teachers guide us through each and every aspect of our career.
I like the college library. Library is a place where I can go and read peacefully.

Dislikes

That the college is only girls . If it would have been for both the girls and boys it would have been fun.

Admission:

I choose this college over any other college because it is renowned as one of the best colleges for nutrition in India. The exam that I gave to get into this college was CUET. The eligibility criteria was you must have completed your class12 with PCB stream .According to the cutoff required for the course we got our addmission here .

Life of Lady irwin college

Likes

A laboratory is clean, and all equipment is present.
The toilet has been cleaned, and handwashing gel provide
The teaching team is excellent; they assist you in any scenario. And they are cooperative.

Dislikes

The campus is very small. But there are other locations to explore and stroll about the parks, such as the Hauz Khas Cafe, so it's all good.

Admission:

I had no intention of applying to any other college. All I did was apply; my name appeared on the screen for college. I found this college details on Google when doing research on colleges. I chose this college for that reason, and I have never regretted it in my life. All of the information on eligibility, course, fees, hostel costs, etc. is available on the college website. Admission is determined by the results of the CUET exam and exam numbers.

I completed my graduation from one the most reputed university of Delhi 'Lady Irwin College' in the tnure of 2020-23
I would really want to highlight that as a student, we really face problem in managing studies with socities
Now, come to the course and curriculum, I completed my graduation in Bachelors of Home science.

Dislikes

My college experience was overall good. However, I don't wnjoyed few things.
During registration time of exams, administration department should increase the number of worker

During my tenure, we get admission through the percentage of our 12th board marks. However the polocies has changed now. For admission in our college now students has to attempt CUET UG exam and then have to score as per the cut off list. Application form. Our college offers only three course in graduation. Eligibility for Bachelors in Home science, students from any background (humanities, commerce, and science) can apply. But for B.Sc Honours and Bachelors in Food Technology students must have chemistry and physics in their 11th and 12th as its a complete science-based course. Cut off list generally goes 89-93% but seats are researved for ST/SC and OBC candidates. Admission form released on the website and its generally a simple form that ask for personal details, educational qualification, and documents as proof. After clearing cut off, college verify documents in physical form. This procedure takes time as college has limited 4-5 members in administration department.

I like our cafeteria as they have many options that consider healthy
I like our classes, well maintained and clean.
Lift that can use students and teachers both

Dislikes

Classes which do not have AC as in summers they do have to on their AC
Washrooms, they are clean but sometimes in the particular building the water line is not working
Assignments, they give too many assignments

Admission:

In my time, there was no entrance exam but it is always good to check your eligibility. The last cut off in my course was 85% and you have fill the form of CUET and DU form too. So that you can get admission regarding your cuet score. I know CUET exam is not that easy but if you prepare well, it will get pass easily as there are general knowledge questions mostly.

Why should you choose LIC over IHE?

Likes

Esteemed faculty members as they were the distinguished alumni
Campus & Infrastructure was huge and good classrooms with AC

Dislikes

Canteen as the food provided wasn't even palatable.

Admission:

Back in 2017, the admission to all the PG Courses in Delhi university took place through entrance exams. The entrance for this particular course B.Ed was done through an offline mode of examination. The exam pattern consisted of different sections that included General Awareness, Quantitative Apptitude, Reasoning, General English & Hindi. So as to appear the PG entrance, the learners were supposed to apply through a common portal of Delhi University and apply accordingly. A cut off was released after 15 days with a list of students who were alloted dofferent colleges by the university. These students were then asked to report to the respective college where thier required documents got verified along with submission of Annual fees. The admission process was quite a cake walk!

So, in Lady Irwin College I got the admission as per my merit at that time for the BSc (hons) Home Science and all the application procedure was online only as it was pandemic time from form to all admission formality.

I liked the extra curricular activities, organised by different departments.
The college aim towards women empowerment and each department works towards this goal.

Dislikes

The canteen is in very poor condition, the food isn't good at all
It's a girl's College, that somehow limits the social interaction.

Admission:

There wasn't any entrance exam, admission was merit-based only. I took admission in a special cut-off. The application form was available on the official website of Delhi University and the cut-off lists were also available on the website itself. For BSc Hons Home Science, Candidate needs to be from the science stream.

Our college is really good about campus

Likes

I like Societies and clubs of our college as there are many societies.
Our college conducts many events or fest which is organised by our departments
Our college is popular in delhi University which i liked the most

Dislikes

There is no placement opportunities for students which is not good
There is not much holidays and hectic timetable for students
The college classes being late as the classes are over till 5 pm most of the time

Admission:

I didn't take any entrance exams as the admissions are merit-based. So in merit-based, you don't have to give any exam, you just have to score better in your 12th class so that you can take admission if the cut-off matches your percentage.

Cute little paradise

Admission:

The admission process was quite simple. There was no fee charged at that point. All the forms were provided there and sufficient time was given to fill the papers. Representatives were there to help anyone with a problem. The hostel Pg lady Irwin college is unmatchable.
