- Calcutta University Online PG Registration Process has started. Students admitted to the PG courses must upload the relevant documents from Nov 6 to Dec 31, 2024. Further, Migrating Students must submit a hardcopy of the Students’ Registration Form at the Registrar’s Office from Nov 11 along with other required documents.
- The last date to apply for M.Music Courses 2024-2025 is Nov 11, 2024. The entrance test is scheduled for Nov 14, 2024. To check the complete schedule, click here.
- Applications are invited for admission to LLM/MSc/MA in Human Rights (Self-Financing Course). Aspirants can submit the online application forms through the university’s website (caluniv.ac.in) from Oct 25 to Nov 8, 2024. Entrance Test for the course is scheduled on Dec 1, 2024.
- PhD in Law admission are open at the University of Calcutta. Candidates can submit their applications from October 23 to November 22 at the office of the Department of Law (1st floor), Hazra Campus, CU. The entrance test will be conducted on November 24. Check details here
- Admissions are open for LLM and the application forms will be available from Oct 4 to Oct 23, 2024 at the university’s official website (caluniv.ac.in). 50% of seats for the course are reserved for CU Hons. Candidates and the rest 50% seats are filled through CULET PG conducted by the university. CULET PG 2024 is scheduled on Nov 17, 2024.
- Applications are invited for admission to Ph.D. (Neuroscience) and the last date to submit the application form at the university’s office is Oct 25, 2024. Further, RET 2024 is scheduled on Nov 6 at 1 PM and the list of candidates eligible for interview will be published on Nov 20. Interview & Viva-Voce for qualified candidates will be held on Nov 28, 2024.

The providers materials notes and books all required for our syllabus the focus on the main topic rather than saying all the story not required. We have practical classes that are very helpful and always neat and clean

- There are no such of library access to everyone

Generally a commerce person takes this course and further do a post graduate course. As e commerce person I liked to peruse this course as it is based of real life accounting. Teaches us business aspects

- The teachers are very friendly. They taught there with very care
- Seniors and the management is also very helpful

- Washrooms should be more hygienic. And also need regular cleaning
- Some teachers behaviour is also not good

I am graduated with bcom. The course took total 3years to complete. 3rd and 4 th semester is the most difficult part of this course. This course do not help me in my job field because i am work In different fields. For the improvement i can suggest conduct some campus interviews train and prepare students for job market

- The college campus was big enough with big classrooms.
Dislikes
- There was no such parking area around the college.
- Sometimes the college used to stay dirty .
Course Curriculum Overview:
I generally choose this course as I have interest in this commerce background. Here I got to know about the financial activities of the businesses. The only improvement needed is that some part of the courses are outdated.

- Our canteen should be more good and clean
- The watchman and guards behaviour should be more good

There are bo such aspects to get influenced by the course as per me because i get influenced by my friends Curriculum prepares you for the future because there are seminars activities atleast twice a week where you will get to know more about how this industry works what are the aspects you need to follow for a great future If anything they can expand in the teaching method is that as per I observed there are so many mentally disabled persons are there who find trouble during the lecture they are unable to catch things easily so make one different course or different room for them so they will find study easier with us they might be in pressure or they migh Feel ashamed while asking or clearing out easy questions because i can see thier expressions they are confused but they cant rasie a question so please do something for them You will gey 2 hrs for mcq 3 hrs for written paper and the difficulties allies on your preparation i never found difficulties in any of the examination

- The college is a great place for holistic development as not only studies but many opportunities for extracurriculars are also available
- The crowd is very diversified and thus there are variety of cultures to learn from

The college has adopted the NEP 2020 so the curriculum is very well in sync with the government policies , the syllabus is also very carefully structured to impart all the necessary knowledge related to the persons filed of education.

- Senior Mentors and Faculties with average experience over 15 years
- Affordable fees and charges much less as compared to other institutions
Dislikes
- Placement opportunities are limited for Energy , Health and Environment Management courses
- Almost zero college tours and internships

The curricullam is divided into 4 semesters spread among two years , the first and the second semester have general management subjects like HR, Operations , Marketing, Accounts, the remaining two semesters are mostly on specilisations of Energy, TLM , Environment, Health care

- As a govt college the office staffs are very lazy.
- There is as such no scope of placements.
Course Curriculum Overview:
Course curriculum is relevent but the exposure to the industry should be given also placement opportunity should be given. The exams are difficult and it happens every six months. Teaching methods can be bit improved as it is only bookish, some practical knowledge should be added.

To apply for the M.Sc Chemistry program of Calcutta University, you must have completed a bachelor’s degree with Chemistry as a subject and a minimum score of 55% in aggregate. Admission to this program will be offered based on the merit of the university’s entrance test.
Admission to the MA programs of Calcutta University is offered based on the merit of the qualifying examination passed. Students seeking admission in the MA programs must have a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks from a recognized college or university.
The University of Calcutta offers a Ph.D in Food and Nutrition program. Students seeking admission in this program must have an M.Sc in Food and Nutrition or a relevant field with at least 55% marks from a recognized university. Many of the departments have started their admission process.
To get admission in the Ph.D program of Calcutta University, you must take the entrance test conducted by the university. Admission is offered based on the merit of entrance test and personal interview conducted by the university. Students who have qualified for UGC JRF/NET/ SET/ SLETDST (Inspire) Scholarship or Teacher Fellowship holders will be exempted from the university’s entrance test.
The University of Calcutta has not released the admission schedule of M.Com. for 2023. It is expected that the admissions will be started in the September 2023.
The minimum educational qualification required to pursue an M.Phil program is to have a master’s degree in the relevant field with at least 55% marks from a recognized university. Moreover, UGC has discontinued M.Phil programs from the 2022 academic year as per the NEP.
From the 2022-23 academic session, M.Phil programs will no longer be offered for admission according to the regulations by UGC. Students who have completed M.Com with at least 55% marks can directly apply for admission in the Ph.D program.
To get admission in the M.Sc Neuroscience course of Calcutta University you must have a B.Sc degree with biology/ biotechnology/ biochemistry/ neurobiology/ neuroscience/ zoology as a subject. Students who have completed MBBS are also eligible to apply. Calcutta University offers hostel accommodations at a very minimal rate and it differs as per the type of accommodation opted for.
