Likes
- No way that one can find a reasonable college than ours.
- Even though it's a tier-3 college, Internships were provided in Tier-1 firms.
- Small campus but an effective one as we don't just classes but moot court hall too.
Dislikes
- Not a single moot event was organised at our campus and that's disheartening.
Internships Opportunities:
It was ASA and Calcutta High Court top law firms where nearly half of our class interned after 3rd year. One though has to try and also work hard as most internships were done without any stipend as in law only a few firms pay stipend.

Likes
- The very cooperative environment for education and knowledge with the best guiders and teachers though it's a government college.
- Only focus on the college is EDUCATION. No unnecessary holidays, no teacher absence or irregularities.
- The college only admits good students which eventually creates a good environment for education. No ragging, very safe place to be in.
Dislikes
- No extra college fest making it a bit boring to be in.
- Hygiene in the college isn't maintained, especially the bathrooms and classes aren't cleaned properly.
- Too much strict about the attandance, though it's a good thing but it still have some disadvantages too.
Internships Opportunities:
Actually I'm not aware of internship that much but each department gives the opportunity of internship in the summer vacation naming it summer internships. It is actually 15 days internship and an examination also takes place on the basis of it and the marks got printed in the result as well.

- There are lots of event in the college where you can participate and learn skills from
- The faculty is good as well as the labs we work in..
- There are sports events as well as internship events in our collges
Dislikes
- Abit of government groups are included that might cause bit of trouble if you get involved in it
- Lifts should be allowed for students as some of our classes are placed in 4th floor
- The canteen is in the 5th floor..that is actually so energy comsuming

There is a compulsory internship in sem 2 and 4 which you can avail and it actually helps alot to mold the students..and there are different workshops the teachers amake us to avail so that in future it is easy for us to work

- The college canteen is extremely affordable and extremely clean and fresh vegeterian food
- The college library has every type of book with 5000sqft area
- The college washrooms are cleaner than 5 star hotel washrooms
Dislikes
- No rule for attendance and presence in college
Internships Opportunities:
Wipro, corizen, launched, etc offer us internship with upto 15000 stipend a month
There are major and minor projects after 30hrs of training.the major project is a group project where we can interact with each other and minor prohect is done alone with the help of our mentor .

- I liked the rooms as they are very spacious with big windows
- Great bathroom as it's newly build very clean.
- Good sport faculty and they also help students in engadging indifferent sports
Dislikes
- Politics in the college. They also provoke students to engage in politics as well
- Poor faculty and are not helpful at all.
- Professors are absent most of the time .
Internships Opportunities:
This year from out college and internship is offered by a company called A technologies and we have to give a MCQ test to gain the certificate and no stripend is given. We have got some options like Digital marketing(which I chose), content writing etc

Likes
- The college has an ideal atmosphere for studying and the hostel accommodation allowed for close bonding with seniors who helped us out in studies as well as personal matters. The teachers are extremely talented and treated us with care and respect.
- It is an all boys college and it is without any doubt a ragging-free campus. There is anti-ragging cell as well as student councelling cell available on the campus to help out with these issues.
- The experience of hostel life and the close sense of community that is formed during my stay has been instrumental in my growth and the strict implementation of discipline in our daily lives enriched me and changed my life for the better.
Dislikes
- The administration is not always the best. Applications, forms, seminars and event permits all required a long time to get approved by the authorities as most of the time it meant compromising our strict schedule as it is a residential college.
- The average food quality in the mess could be better. Again it is not always the best but for the most part it is decent.
Internships Opportunities:
Our college provides summer internships on various topics from academic writing to translation studies in English department. Other departments also have tie-ups in various prestigious colleges for summer internships, like Ashoka University, Ashutosh College, Ramakrishna Mission Narendrapur, etc.

- The staff of the college especially the teaching faculty is highly educated
- Always having departmental seminar for better learning
- Completing the syllabus with umost care .
Dislikes
- The timing of the college is not appropiate
- Give very less marks in the inernals and assignments
- The college canteen serves too much oily food and remain closed most of the time
Internships Opportunities:
The college however do not provideany direct internhip. Many good IT sectors come to hire and they provide the necessary internship. Companies like wipro ICICI bak IDBI bank come for hiring. The college personally provide many workshop on corporate communication and teaching objectives.

- Ambitious crowd. Highly ambitious, motivating people from all across India comes to study in Xavier's. This provides a perfect ground to network with such people.
- Respect. Being the 6th best college for Commerce across India, just the tag of "Xaverian" brings out a proud feeling and people also seem to value people from Xavier's more.
- Placement and internship opportunities. College provides us with ample of internship opportunities throughout all the years.
Dislikes
- ACs not available for every rooms. Only few of the rooms have air conditioner.
Placement Experience:
Internship opportunities are available for every year student. Placements are provided in the third year. 100+ companies including Big 4, banks, tech companies etc. come with placement offers. Highest package usually cross 25+ LPA and the minimum package provided is 4LPA. Students are placed after various rounds of test. Mostly there are 3 rounds of test- written exam, GD and PI.

- The sports and activities were good, there is a big playground. Campus was good.
- Since it was a women's College, safety was maintained wonderfully, no other student college was allowed in the campus.
Dislikes
- The food in canteen, lesser options were given.
- The library system, one had to book online seat

Shri shikshayatan college offers internships with media houses like The telegraph, ABP Ananda and Times of India. Roles include reporting, editing and social media often with a stipend and projects range from news coverage to content creation.
