Aliah University, Kolkata, formerly known as Mohammedan College of Calcutta, popularly known as Madrasah-i-Aliah or Calcutta Madrasah. Admissions at Aliah University mostly entrance-based. For most of the programs, the university conducts its own examination, i.e., Aliah University Admission Test (AUAT), for course admissions. - Campus life is so good.Cricket,football,racquet,kabaddi,swimming are played bythe students of this university.All the teams go out to another colleges to participate in tournament as well as participate in inter college and interuniversity tournament

- Small playground for football. There is adjusted for the ground of cricket and football.
- The students whose home is at a distance of less than 70-80 km cannot get the hostels for live. They have to live in pg or to buy a room.

First students have to get a good rank in WBJEE and take admissions at ALIAH UNIVERSITY to every course and second there is a exam named Aliah University Admission Test (AUAT). Which is being taken by Aliah University. Students who get good rank can take admission in every course that they want. There is no reservation benefits for AUAT exam.

As i am peruing B. Tech mechanical engineeringing through lateral entry this a course which you can pursue after completeing your diploma engineering degree from a recognized university or recognized board. You can find apllicafion form for admission test by visiting official website of aliah university you can find application form under admision section of university website. No i belogs to jharkhand and student ouside West Bengal is treated as general category and they cannot avail any reservation benifits. Frequency of aliah University admission test is it happens once per year and test consits of 100 mcqs for which you get 2 hours to take test. Application froms are generally available from march to april every year and admission test hapeens in june to july. This year application for admission will live from 25 th of march.
