Honest review of CU as a B.Tech student of ECE

Dislikes

The curriculum teaches us the basics of what we would be needing in the professional field but it lacks the new improvements.

Fees and Financial Aid:

As it CU is a state university it is quite affordable for students to pursue studies here. For B.Tech the fees is around 40k for the full 4 year course. To enroll themselves in the B.Tech curriculum one must pass the wbjee exam- During wbjee councelling 5k is paid which is then adjusted in the 1st semester fees. So for 1st sem- Tution fees: 5k (paid during councelling) Library fees: 800 Lab fees: 800 Athletic fees: 5 Union fees: 5 Magazine fees: 5 Studnets' Aid funf: 5 Students' Health home fees: 2 Identity Card fees: 50 Total = 6772 And for next 7 semesters- Tution fees: 3000 Lad fees: 1500 Athletic fees: 5 Union fees: 5 Magazine fees: 5 Students' Aid fund: 5 Students' Health home fees: 2 Total = 4522 Total fees for 4 years = 6772 + 4522x7 = 38426 rupees (without hostel)

My Experience in Calcutta University for B.Tech

The fees structure fir 1st sem is Rs. 6772 For 2nd - 8th semester- Rs. 4500 It is not increasing. It is availed by WBJEE. The course is so much affordable. SVMCM Scholarship is available for students over 60%.

I have paid 6882 inr for 1st semester fees .Out of which,3000 inr is for tuition fees for 6 months ,1500 inr for lab fees.Athletic fees, magazine fees etc costs 5 inr per month except Student health home which costs 2 Inr per month. For reserved category students like obc ,sc,st They got Oasis scholarship by West Bengal govt. Svmcm scholarship is what we UR candidates can also get.For that we need to score 60% aggregate in class 10 & 12 th marksheet.We get 60k inr per year in that,for renewal of that we need to maintain 6 cgpa at least.

The leaves are very less and the curriculum is tough

It's a reaserch based college so the rates of placement are very less but it's good for future based education engineering students. You can't ask for intership leaves and should score atleast 50% marks to stay in the college

the year wide fees i paid are 10000rs for two semester. i am in sc catagory and there tution fees are 800,caution fees are 100 registration fees 500, admission fees 400,development fees 30,lab fees 250, medical fees 5,sports fees 5 .some student have TFW so there fees very low and for general there fees some high from sc and st.We get a Schoolarship vivekanada schoolarship 60k per yr

Why Completing a B.Tech from the University of Calcutta and Becoming an Alumnus Helps Carry Forward Its Prestigious Lega

First of all University College of Science and Technology (University of Calcutta) , Salt Lake Campus is one of the best University for engineering. The fees is very less 6700 for the first semester including admission and around 5000 for semester 2 to 8. Total fees for 4yr Btech will be only 35000-40000. Since this is a Government University there is no such management quota. WBJEE rank under 300 will give you CSE directly in 1st round. Other than that the College also provides health insurance to the students studying here. Students can take the SVCM scholarships or any other scholarship. The faculties and staffs are very helpful and friendly so processing of the scholarships will not be a problem. Last but not the least, CU provides the best place for students to gain knowledge and learn high level concepts. One of the best Government Engineering University in West Bengal.

My College Review For the Future Blast

Our college charges 1500/yr it's cheap because it is a goverment college, many living households underpriviledge getting benefits for the less amount of fees. Tution fees is 800 Registration fees is 640 Development fees they are taking is 25ig There is no compulsory charges. As a Student I only received swami Vivekananda Scholarship along with that there are many scholarships which is detailed by the college to the students. From my Scholarship I nearly received 12k. Merit Cum like Income Certificate and all need. Thank you

Calcutta University Electrical BTech Review

Curriculum of B Tech is better than Makaut here

I pay 3622 rs per sem and 7244 per yr accordingly, it covers all the fees of university. From this year new fees has been 4800 rs per semester. All students pay same fees. I get SVMCM scholarship by WB GOV of 5000rs per month.

To get admission in the M.Sc Neuroscience course of Calcutta University you must have a B.Sc degree with biology/ biotechnology/ biochemistry/ neurobiology/ neuroscience/ zoology as a subject. Students who have completed MBBS are also eligible to apply. Calcutta University offers hostel accommodations at a very minimal rate and it differs as per the type of accommodation opted for.
