University of Calcutta MA Persian: Fees 2026, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

Ans. The programme covers classical Persian prose and poetry, Persian grammar and linguistics, Persianate literary traditions, Islamic intellectual history, manuscript studies, and translation theory. Students gain proficiency in reading Persian texts from the medieval through the modern era, focusing on the literary and cultural heritage of the Persian-speaking world.
