Overview of Shri shikshayatan college

The course is under Calcutta University usually each of the semester last around 6 months and exams are taken by the University before that the tutorials that taken by the college itself as internals .

So for placements usually semester 3 and latee semester get pleaced into internships .Companies come to the college to employee people sometimes they provide a training session and if a student has attended more than 70% of the training session they usually get a chance to apply for their positions depending on your CV these people please you in different companies depending on how you work.

So there are scholarships that one can apply for and usually the fees ranges between 20k to 50k a depending on what course you are taking and the demand of that course and sometimes the fees increases depending on the semester and sometimes decreases. for example- BBA ,the fees is much higher than BA

The campus is not very huge and only is available after 3 p.m. and only on Saturdays but I would say that the campus itself is a very nice place,it is small but it is beautifully decorated, there are two sheds under which you can sit with your friends and spend time.The ground is used for sports there are various societies and clubs in the college that you can go to brush your skills. You have access to different books and journals that are available in the library ,there is an e library which you can access.

This college has a great faculty and not only that but is also very affordable and is the value for money. the metro and buses are available near the college, admission process of the college was not too long.

So the class size depends on what subject you are taking usually for subjects like political science or Geography the class size is much smaller limiting itself to 30 where as if you are a student of journalism and Mass Communication, English ,BBA department the class size are huge. Honestly the faculty is great each of the classes are well equipped, there is more than two three labs ,there is a library ,the teachers in the staff are not rude they are approachable

The college is actually in a very busy area, beside it there are different Cafes, librarie, cinema halls students usually go and Hangout. There is no hostel for this college and that locality is very safe even around night or evening
