Memorable college days ??

I really liked geography as a subject for learning and exploring as it includes fieldwork , surveys and excursion which enhances our mind and experience in our life and this way we have many opportunities to learn new things in our life which is helpful for our future purposes. The only improvements I would like to note that to improve the toilet facilities and placement opportunities.

Free structure of our college for the students every semester is like 660 for the lab based course and 600 for the non lab based departments in our college . And for the placements ...there are no such placements yet . For the merit list if you have like 80 + percentage in the 12 th boards then you have high chance to get selected.

There are many functions like if you join NSS or NCC in college you have many opportunities to roam for free as I am NSS vice president currently in this college as per my experience I hv been in Assam for the NATIONAL INTEGRATION CAMP (NIC) I went there and had learnt many new things . And as for college events there some Events like parade competition in 15th august... volleyball , cricket, and many seminars are going on in the campus where we can join and learn many things .

I choosed this college due the following reasons: 1. For the hills education experience and the climate which is basically cold and chill here as compared to the plain areas like siliguri coochbehar etc . 2. Low fees which is really affordable even for a middle class family student like me ????.

There are total 6 faculties in our geography dept one hod and 5 assistant professor in our dept ... I really liked professor Dr . Sonam lama for his brilliant way or method of teaching which I find really entertaining during classes. There are total 6 semester every 6 months one semester...but as the new education policy it has been total of 8th semester as it has been 4 years of college .

No it's a complete merit based selection in our college ...if you have 80 +% in your 12th board then you will have high chances to be selected in our college . And the process is your have to apply for the admission form the officical website of dgc and wait for your merit list that's all .

Yes I really loved that in our college there is gym facility for free but only for the college students. There is canteen where u can have delicious meals like egg bun, alu mimi , burger etc .. For the hostels there are only girls hostel which is good things which includes the girls security...and the hostel is just 10 metre distance ...just behind our college . The night is life silent and lonely in Darjeeling as till 7 or 8 all the shops are closed ...but in the bazaar side you can explore as it is alive . Haha ...
