Course Curriculum Overview
I have completed my 12th in humanities stream so I wanted to complete my graduation in english degree After completing this degree you can sit for government jobs which requires graduation level If they can use digital board in English classes too it would be great The exam are semester based and moderate to hard level
Fees and Financial Aid
My yearly fees is around 4250 rupees but be ready for extra registration fees and first time expenses the registration fees is 350+50 rupees and for backward classes it's only 50 rupees Fees is my much lower for backward and deprived classes For BSC honors fees is around 5200 to 6000 a year depending on course Swami Vivekanand scholarship is available from West Bengal government
Campus Life
Our college celebrate durga puja every year during festive season Also organise AIDS awareness, Gender issues etc You can borrow books and material from library Ba courses class room are old type but technical course are updated with digital board Yes running completion is there Yes you can join party through clubs in the campus
Admission
I applied to two college which is near to my house Bhairab Ganguly college and surendranath college Bhairab Ganguly college was much nearer to my house and my older brother completed his graduation from here He suggested to join this college as it's environment is better than other college You have apply online by 28th October and then do documents verification like marksheet and identify etc
Faculty
The number of total students are more than adequate faculty-to-student ratio but most of the time only half of admitted students present so you will get proper attention from teachers Amrita das our english proffesors she is extremely knowledgeable person and caring she helps even after college hours if and stuck at any topic you can call her she helps Other faculties is good too Exam level is moderate to hard if you study throughout the semester you can pass
Night Life
Gym condition is extremely poor with broken machine and old dumbbells Library is nicely maintained with necessary books For girls then cannot go out after 9:30pm in night and only allowed with special permission and a guard or parents The cafeteria is quite famous among students you can order food and eat there hangout with friends The food is sold at subsided price
