Admission to the courses at Acharya Prafulla Chandra College, Kolkata shall be merit-based. The steps to apply for admission have been mentioned below:

APCC Kolkata Scholarships
To provide financial assistance to the poor & meritorious students, Acharya Prafulla Chandra College, Kolkata provides various scholarships:
- Stipends & Free Studentship- To help the poor and meritorious students, Acharya Prafulla Chandra College, Kolkata grants free Studentship/ Half- free Studentship. Students from Scheduled Castes and Tribes and Other Backward Classes and Minority Communities are entitled to special stipends.
- Medhabritti Prakalpa of the Students’ Union- In the year 2014, the Students’ Union introduced a Merit Scholarship Scheme for the meritorious but poor students. A scholarship equivalent to six months’ college fees shall be granted to the students securing the highest marks in the second and third-year classes of B.A. as well as B.Sc. streams.
- Students’ Benevolent Fund- This project is entirely funded by the teachers of APCC. The aim of Students’ Benevolent Fund is to provide financial aid to the poor yet meritorious students of the college.

APCC Kolkata Facilities
To cater to the need of the students and the staff, Acharya Prafulla Chandra College, Kolkata provides a variety of facilities. These include:
- Hostels: Separate hostels are provided to boys and girls. Girls’ hostel has a capacity of 80 students. Boys’ hostel is available for the SC/ ST/ OBC students of the district with a capacity of 80 students.
- Medical Facilities: Recently, a policy named ‘Students Safety Insurance Policy’ of United India Insurance Company Limited has been introduced. The college plans to include all students under this scheme. A 16 station multi gymnasium has been installed under the supervision of a trained instructor.
- Laboratories: Sophisticated and well-equipped laboratories are made available in the departments of Chemistry, Computer Science, Physics, Statistics, Mathematics, Electronics, Anthropology, Botany, Food & nutrition, Zoology.
- Sports: The college provides several infrastructural sports facilities to the students. These include a playground, basketball court, volleyball court, badminton court, 16 station multi gym equipment, indoor games like table tennis, carom and chess.
- Seminar Hall: The college has an air-conditioned seminar room with advance technical facilities which is used for debates, seminars, council meeting and society’s events etc.
- Auditorium: There is a fully furnished 2 tier auditorium with a sitting capacity of 750.
- Internet: Computer laboratories have been networked using LAN by 32/16-bit switches. The college has been provided with twenty landlines with broadband connection distributed in different departments. Ten of these have wireless modem because of which most of the lab-based departments already have a Wi-Fi enabled environment. Work is in progress to set up a separate broadband network to make the entire campus Wi-Fi enabled.

I choose this college for my personal choice and my home is near to this colleg. And i don't applied in other colleges. The admission process is very simple without any exams. To admmission in this college you only fill the form given by college or in online website of this college and then the verification process. My overall experience is good with admission process

- I liked the faculty expertise in the college. They are very helpfull and understanding as well. They also are well qualified and teaches well.
- I like the campus of the college. It abids some guidelines and promotes cleanliness in the premises and a required discipline is also maintained.
Dislikes
- The extra expenses taken in the cafeteria.
- The working schedule is sometimes slow due to which we suffer some consequences.
Admission:
I chose this college due to its excellent reviews in this website as well and also due to its maintainance. The campus is well neat and maintained nicely by the authorities and also the faculties provide the vast knowledge and optimum education in every field as well.

- There is very big size and beautiful campus
- Teachers are very friendly. I always got help from them

- I dislike the location. Transport problem belongs there
- Some teachers are harsh. They need to be more soft

I applied other colleges like Bhairav Ganguly, Barrackpore Rastraguru Surendranath college. But still I admitted here because I like this college. This college is suitable for me. Eligibility is atleast 60% number in 12th

- The environment made me feel better when I goes to the college. As greenery everywhere.
- Sports facilities are great. As a cricket lover I played cricket everyday.
Dislikes
- Some of the other departments like microbiology and etc was not great at all

You have to get atleast 80 percent marks on 12th exam. You can get the application form in online after 12th exam. You have to fill up the form. After a councilling was held by the college. And you have to attend the councilling. If you qualify then you will join the college as a bachelor degree.

- Atmosphere is also very friendly with an anti ragging cell

- Placement can be a bit active with 90% placement
- Canteen foods can be bit varied as it doesn't have much food

The admission process was quite easy you just need to apply and then wait for the merit list and then if you are selected according to your marks then you can get admission. I saw my name on the 3rd merit list.

The admission process was very easy. There was an entrance exam for the admission process. The application form, fees, and dates are available on college websites. The reservation was done on the caste system. I didn't get any reservation benefits as I am from the general category.

Acharya Prafulla College does not offer BBA course to the students.
yes, you can take admission even if you have passed your 10+2 level in 2017. The admission is not open now and is expected to be announced soon.

There is no age limit specified as per the official website of the college. The candidates who have done 10+2 from the recognized board are eligible to get admission to UG courses.
APCC Kolkata does not offer BJMC. The college offers BA in Journalism and Mass Communication. The total fee for the course is INR 5,412. Admission to the course is offered on the merit basis.
