At least 15% of the total students in the college are granted a concession. Remedial Coaching has been introduced during the XIth plan period of UGC in order to improve academic skills and strengthen knowledge of backward groups of SC, ST, OBC (non-creamy layer) and minority communities. Extra classes shall be provided which shall be taken by the college teachers, retired teachers, research scholars etc. General students who need these classes may also be allowed.

Candidates who have secured 55% marks in the concerned or related subject in class 12th examination or 50% marks in aggregate in all four subjects shall also be eligible for admissions into Honours courses.
For General and Major Courses a candidate must secure minimum 45% marks in aggregate in 10+2 or in an equivalent examination with English as one of the main subjects.
Marks obtained in Environmental Education shall not be taken into account for calculating the aggregate marks.
Those applying for Honours in Electronics or Computer Science must secure at least 45% marks in both Physics & Mathematics; for Honours in Physics a candidates must secure at least 45% marks in Mathematics.
A student applying for Zoology/Botany Honours must have studied Chemistry as a subject; in case of Chemistry Honours minimum 40% marks in both physics and Mathematics are required.

Fees and Financial Aid:

My annual fee is 20000. The fee structure was very hard for some middle-class people. There were no opportunities for scholarships for me, but there are state government scholarships based on family income, and campus jobs at our college are not provided. The cost of the study was very high. I think the fees should be reduced.
