Remarks

The admission process through online mode was a breeze. The fee structure is pretty decent. excellent environment and infrastructure. All departments are very socially active. Maintenance is also good. All the students are pretty decent.

Course Curriculum Overview

Excellent facilities. Rooms are well equipped with ICT facilities. The faculty-to-student ratio is also favorable, at 1:5. Laboratories are well equipped. Departmental or seminar libraries are also excellent. Each department offers extra-curricular activities for students.

Class Size: 30Course Fees: INR 8500 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

As it is a government-aided college, the fee structure is decent. I'm a B.Sc. Zoology (Hons) student and my fee structure is around 8,500/year. I don't have information about any scholarships, but the career guidance cell offers great opportunities.

Campus Life

There are several clubs, and they arrange annual programs. Book availability in central and departmental/seminar libraries is excellent. Also, science departments participate in seminars. All departments are well equipped with ICT facilities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was well-structured, and each semester, there were projects and presentations that also helped to test our knowledge. I got influenced as the curriculum provides us with financial economics, political economics, and Applied mathematics. The level of the exams was decent, related to the course. They could improve in teaching more practical knowledge and projects related to that, instead of only learning in a theoretical way.

Placement Experience:

Placements and job oppurtinities are less since this is an undergraduate college offwering honours degree. Though there is a placement and career councelling cell that looks over this matter. Placements are offered only in a few subjects, such as industrial chemisrty and computer science. The rate of placements are very high and come with high packages. Though I am not interested in placements, but I have started taking preparations for compititive exams. Such preparations are very supported here, rather than jobs and placements.

My college offers very minimal placement for the branches of chemistry. Few Chemical manufacturing companies of haldia visits our college for placement. I also applied for Barackpore Surendra Nath rastra guru college, i dont take admission to that college is beacause of distance i live in belgharia and bhairab ganguly college is the nearest college i have and if i have to go to Barracpore College i have to travel via train or buses so thats why i choose this college over that. Yeah i also applied at st. pauls cathedral mission college i don't make their cause according to their merit list my marks are too low so thats why i didn't take addmision their. Our college take admission based on our 12th board exams if i have enough marks for admission i get admitted and if i dont have the marks i dont get admitted. the cut offs in this admission proccess go lowest around like 350 out of 500 in the 12th board....Read More

Best BA English college under WBSU.

This college has a very large and well maintained campus. The study atmosphere of this college is one of the best. It has an excellent English department.
