All the teachers being so polite and frankly

Course Curriculum Overview

Institution faculty being so friendly with every and each students.. Specially the proper maintenance of the lab makes me more confident in the course I choose... Exams timing should be a little early as it's very cold during winters

My campus life is been awesome with some awesome friends around me Providing me homely atmosphere and leeting me feel alone I'm enjoying here as the all faculty members shares a bonding like a parents

Admission

I choose this college over others because one of my most precious teacher had suggested me to join this college as per the faculty providing proper knowledge about your course and guiding you from the starting to each and every situations

Faculty

All the faculties and students get along easily and they are all polite and frankly... Exams are sometimes at mid or very difficult many students fail but there's an option to sit and redo the exam in next semester

Night Life

To be honest I've never been visited my college during the night time but I'm hoping it will be all awesome to be in college at night time enjoying with friends like a small camp fire and all I hope I get to experience it once

SXC Kolkata is a gem of a college.

Placement Experience:

Computers are so vast that masters is mandatory and therefore I have certain plans for that. However big scale IT companies come here and students of Computer science Hons have had placements worth 6-10 lakhs easily. My plans are to appear for the job interviews but not taking any as I want to study more.

Placement Experience:

College does provide internship opportunities both through the placement cell as well as department faculty. Semester 5 and Semester 7 students are eligible for placements. Average package is about 5.5 lakh per annum for microbiology course. Although placement percentage is on the lower side majority of students go for higher studies. Many prepare for exams like GATE, IIT JAM, etc.

Placement Experience:

college placements are good in this college with a number of good financial and consultancy firms coming in with new gen companies as well in the service and sales industry. moreoever getting a good placement in a top financial or consultancy placement requires a POR in a good society as a criteria, its not really required but adds to your chances of getting it. moreover you require to participate in a number of case study competitions for the same as well. my plans after graduation is probably working for a year or two after which i plan on doing my MBA. around 50-60% who apply get a placement.

My experience at St. Xavier's

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course theory helps us gain a solid understanding of the subject matter. Film studies and Mass Communication theory classes has laid down the foundation of the subject- from what is a shot and the kinds of shots and angles, to the beginning of radio in India and essays by CS Pierce and John Berger. The course also includes practical classes in the sound labs, editing labs and we will learn to use a camera, as one of the things we will have to do in this course is make films of our own.

The highest package was 24 lacs per annum last year and it is only expected to go up this round almost all students to set for placements are placed but in my department specifically most opt for higher studies like myself.

The college offers good placements for economis. Students in their final year are eligible for campus placements and there is a cell dedicated to placements. I choose this course as I like physics very much and I wish to make my career on research & general lines. In our batch, we are 21 students who come regularly, the faculties are 6, whereas 2 lab attendants. All faculties are MSc and 4 of them have PhDs. Yes, in our college it takes an internal exam & that's very tough.

Government College are cheaper than private so I choose government college and we get scholarship. No I was not rejected.ST people will get seat faster than OBC . The person scoring good percentage is taken in . General having good percentage still won't be able to get as the seat are taken by ST OBC . The exams are not hard but also not too easy....Read More
