The college have a very good faculty members..who are very helpful.
The size of the college is very big and spacious for the students.
There are a lot of connectivity available.

The food which was provided in the canteen is not very tasty.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum chosen by me is bcom (honours) because this collage help us to compete in the real world of commercial knowledge. The teaching method is very fabulous. Generally the exams occur twice a year and the difficulty level is very mediocre.

Class Size: 2500Course Fees: INR 60000 per year

Internships Opportunities

There are a lot of companies who visited our college for internship program like Younity, Deloitte & Touche Assurance and Enterprise Risk Services India Pvt Ltd, Internshala etc and they offer a very good stipend to the students. These company offer internship to the students based on their capabilities and skills

Placement Experience

In our college generally students get placement before the last semester exam. Lot of companies visits our college and give many placement offer opportunities to the students. The highest package was 6 - 7 LPA and on average it generally ranging from 2 to 3 LPA. About 60 to 70 percent students gets a different types of offer from different companies who visited our college, my plan is also to get a good and a decent package from our College

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees of the college is 55000 which includes of 2 semester each semester cost was 27000-28000 approx. The fees increaseing at a minimum amount and college also provide scholarship system to their students

Campus Life

Shri Shikshayatan College offers a variety of co-curricular activities, including literary societies like Chorcha and Imprint, a Debate Society (DEBSOC), an Electoral Literacy Club, a Nature Club, and Quidra, which promotes interdisciplinary study and problem-solving. The college also have a very big Library where students can issue the books, also the college organises some sports activities.

Admission

This college is one of the best girls college across Kolkata, I have applied for 3 more colleges where I got a confirmed admission but this college provides us with a lot of extra curricular activities like business event, seminars which would help us to boost our knowledge in our course. The admission process of the college is very easy only we have to fill out the online admission form and after getting our name listed we have to pay the admission fee.

Faculty

The college faculty is very good and helpful. There are a lot of faculty members for the students. The course structure of the college is 27000 per semester. The major subjects exam was conducted by CU and the minor was conducted by the college.

Night Life

There are a lot of place outside the college to hangout like Haldiram, emami market, there are a lot of food stalls where you can eat a variety of foods. All the locality nearby college are safe for the girls to roam around. There are a lots of hostels and PGs available outside the college.

Placement Experience:

Well among the curriculum of Bcom my most favourite is the management and Economics part. Cause I really love them and the teachers of that subject are really good . The improvement that I would want is the professors to come to the classes and teach us and finish the syllabus on time.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placement in the last year which is 7th and 8 semester one can apply for internship or job from 7th and 8th semester. The highest package offered was of 11 lakh so far. And the average package is 4 to 5 lakh per annum. Like most of the Goenkans I am also thinking of pursuing CA as a profession but for now I am focusing on my BCom degree and after my BCom degree I will complete my MBA from a good reputed college.

It is a 4 year programme which offers placements. But if someone doesn't get direct placement they are still skilled enough to get a job off campus and it can go from 6 LPA to 12 LPA. If the performance is very poor they can't go to the 4th year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose B.Com Hons as my subject because I want to pursue MBA in my future.The faculty of this college is amazing.They are all very helpful.Total no. of students for this course currently is 800 something and each sector has 120 students.The teachers use projectors to make us understand the concept clearly.Sem exams occur every six months and if you study properly you will score good marks for sure

Do Right Things Now For Your Future

Placement Experience:

After 4th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Out of the companies some of them are Institute of Charter Accountancy, Institute of GST ETC. They give us some packages for jobs. Like the highest package is about 50000 rupees and the lowest is 15000 rupees. Only few studets get chance in this companies. Like 5-10% students. I want to be a bank manager so i just keep my study moving on.

Beyond the classroom walls

I had applied to a few other reputed colleges for journalism and Mass communication including loreto college, St Xaviers University and Amity University. I got shortlisted for Loreto and Amity but couldn't make it to Xavier's and Amity for their cutoff was high and my English marks missed just by 3%. The admission process was smooth and entirely online for the BA in journalism and Mass communication the college doesn't require an entrance test admission is married based and eligibility being 50% aggregate in 10 test 2 and at least 45% in English the cut of typically how was around 80-25% for the general category. Shri shikshayatan college infrastructure, faculties, co curricular activities, clubs, placements, pros and cons.

If you know anyone in Kolkata and of you ask them how is Shri shikshayatan college they will definitely say it is a good college academically and for most extends it is true. So academically it is a good college to study so I opted this for a general graduation over over private colleges. I opted for other govt. Colleges like BHU,AU but due to 5-10 mark and me being in general category got rejected there so in order to not waste my precious year I opted to go for a decent but reputed college for completing my general graduation so I could focus on my competition exams and dream of being a entrepreneur. The admission process is solely based on your 12th marks which for me were very good as I got 88% and a good score of 95 in biology which was crucial for botany course.
