Sree Gopal Banerjee College [SGBC] is located in Hooghly, West Bengal. It was established in 1958. The college started functioning on 21st July, 1958. It was later shifted to the current three-storeyed structure on 24th April, 1959. The college has now developed into one of the biggest institutions under the University of Burdwan. The college works on 3 different shifts(Morning, Day and Night).

Following are the steps to apply for admission-
- Visit the official admission portal of SreeGopal Banerjee College
- Register yourself by providing some basic information.
- Candidates have to pay ₹300 for each subject application online.
- For Online Registration valid email and phone number is required.
- Candidates have to enter their HS marks in detail and also have to upload his/her scanned photo and signature.
- After completing all these steps take a printout of the system generated application form containing an Unique Application Number.
Selected candidates have to pay the 1st-semester fees online (on college admission portal) at the time of admission to confirm his/her seat. After that, you need to visit the college with all the original and self-attested photocopy documents for verification.
