Course Curriculum Overview

4

To Choose this course the aspects are that it is related to finance and my ambition is to do something in the financial sector this course is the best platform where I can fulfill my ambition. With this curriculum, I learned how the real world is. In this course, so much completion and getting a nice job is very difficult. Exams mostly occur 2 times and they could be scheduled at the end of November or December which is the first semester and that would be easy to pass, the difficult one is the final semester which would held at the end of April or May and it depends upon the college also where we have to go for the exam, their seating arrangements, their guarding, etc.

Internships Opportunities

4

There are so many companies that offer internships to the students of my college. They are "Tech Mahindra" which provides customer support Associate roles with a stipend of Rs11- 12k. "mPokket" this company provides digital customer specialists where you have to give a call and email to the customer and for that job role they provide 13-14k as a stipend, and there are so many other companies which give stipend for their work to the students.

Placement Experience

4

In Syamaprasad College placements and internships are given to the final year students. And the companies that offer placements are Accenture, Deloitte, KPMG, etc. The highest package goes up to 20-24 lakhs and the average package goes to 6-8 lakhs. 70-80% of students get their placement in my college. At that time I planned to get the degree and apply to a multinational company with a high salary package with company facilities.

Fees and Financial Aid

They take a total amount of Rs 3000 once at a time during the admission, which is the total annual fee, including tuition, lab, and admission fees. And yes, syamaprasad College does have different fee structures as per the category such as Management, SC, and ST. These Categories benefit from fee concessions provided by the college. And yes, Syamprasad College offers Scholarships for meritorious students, such as Kanyashree Prakalpa for girls, Aikyashree Prakalpa for Minority students

Campus Life

4

In general, Syamaprasad College has great, average-quality instructors. One of the preferences of the college is its reasonable expenses and its comfort in Western classrooms. Despite its inadequately populated area and restricted seating, this college could be an incredible learning and general development environment. The infrastructure of this college is said to be great, with well-equipped classrooms and simply get to the libraries. There are so many clubs such as the "Students Union" which organizes cultural programs, sports events, etc, sports teams, Blood donation camps, etc. Syamaprasad College's annual festival is "Saraswati Puja" which is usually held in January or February. The Technical festival is "TechnoFest" and it is held in March or April. In the library of Syamaprasad College, there are so many kinds of books such as textbooks, reference books, some journal books, and magazines for both teachers and students. To enhance learning, Syamaprasad College provides so many facilities and technology like it provides "whiteboards" for writing and drawing diagrams, "Projectors" for visual presentations, and "Laboratories" which include science labs and computer labs for practical sessions. In sports, the college includes football, cricket, and kabaddi and our college participates in various tournaments. Yes, so many students joined various clubs as per their wishes, and due to this, they run their social groups as well as different clubs.

Admission

I chose this college because it is an evening college and one more reason is that it was close to my office where I was doing part-time. So after finishing my job, I used to come directly to the college by walking. Honestly speaking I didn't apply to any other college because most of the college was morning shift and far from my house this college is approximately half an hour distance from my house and as well as it was closer to my office. The admission process was very simple like other colleges every college set cut-off marks and in that list whoever comes will get their admission. In our college, they used to make 2-3 lists, and based on that they select students. The exam most preferred by students is "Project-based assessments" which allow the students to understand more easily through practical and gain experience. The cutoffs are not so much higher as compared to other colleges. In some colleges, their cutoffs go up to 85-90% but in my college, it is less than 70%, I am talking about when I was there. And about the admission process, they charge a reasonable annual fee once at a time during the admission which includes tuition fees, lab fees, development fees, etc.

Faculty

4

The teachers are very supportive. They assist the students who need their help. The teaching is also good. For example, We had an economics teacher who explained the lessons so nicely that anyone could understand. In commerce, economics is the toughest subject compared to other subjects. And the economics teacher I like the most because of her teaching style. As for the exam, Syamaprasad College has 2 exams. And in the 1st year, most students pass. The student who is not able to score 40% marks will not be able to continue with honors. Here students get projects where students can select their topics and on that topic, they create their own projects, which help the students apply what they learn their scores will be added to the exam which will be beneficial for the students to score and pass the subject.

Night Life

4

There is a College Canteen which is popular for students to hang out with friends when there are no classes and grab a bite. There is a Library where a student can study if they want and if not then relax comfortably. And there are "sports Grounds" where students can do outdoor activities and sports which is a great way to unwind after classes. And outside the college, there are so many shops where you can buy food, sit, talk and hang out with friends if you don't like the canteen food.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is of course outdated. Teaching methods are old. No case studies, competitions or project of any sort is there in the curriculum. Although a project of 100 marks is there in the final sem, but I don't think that's enough. There is no practicality in the curriculum and usability in career. The syllabus really needs an uplifment.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is average , I chose this course because I wanted to do an honours degree and I'm from commerce background so my first pick was B.Com . They really put efforts to prepare students for well future , as I said earlier some teachers are genuinely very good helpful supporting and good at what they do . Something they need to approve is the 70% attendance criteria, I think they need to understand not every student is just persuing graduation they are doing some other courses or jobs etc so they can't maintain 70% attendance . The frequency of timing is average

Course Curriculum is Comprehensive, focused equally on Academics and Practical Exposure.. I chose because of that extra year of research I can choose to do in my final year (4th year) of graduation and I'll have an Hons. Degree at the end of 4th year of my college... Practical insights makes sure we are being trained to tackle practical world and academic knowledge ensures we are eligible to apply for further Education.. I will say more focus on Practical Exposure and a little extra focus on Sports May Take This Curriculum to a different level..
