Barasat College Admissions:
Admission to all the courses offered at Barasat College is conducted on a Merit Basis of the qualifying examination. All candidates are required to have passed 10+2 examination from any recognized Board.
- Candidate applying for Honors courses should have 50% marks as aggregate, 45% marks in the related subjects, and 55% marks in the main honors stream subject.
- Candidates who have passed 10+2 in the vocational stream are eligible for all the BA and B.Sc general courses.
- For B.Com, candidates must have Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) qualified from a recognized board of education and mathematics should be a compulsory subject.
- English should be a compulsory subject at 10+2 level.
- Candidates belonging to SC/ST only require 40% aggregate and 40% in each related subject for the Honors courses.
- The total process of admission will be executed Online.

College is good in West Bengal, the education environment too good for students, the college staff are friendly, the rooms are big for 150students, but the college campus is too short for students, there isn't any hostel/mess,

Anyone can take admission to the college. You need at least a 40 percent mark from the recognized board in 12th. The admission process is online after corona pandemic. But you have to visit the college for verification after admission.

It required a minimum of 50% marks to apply for any given course. The online application form is available on the official website of the College. Quota reservation benefits are also available as per the rule. The admission process is quite fair and flexible presented by the college institution.

The college management has increased seats for every courses because in our admission system we have to wait for our names put on the merit list. When the admission process starts then all staff should attend to their jobs on time.

The eligibility criteria for History Hons in Barasat Evening College is that candidates must pass the HS board exam(10+2) with a minimum of 50% marks overall. And the candidate must have a History subject in HS and he/she must have got 55% marks in History. For SC/ST candidates pass marks (41-45%) are enough to apply for Hons here. You will find the application form on the college website. The first-year admission fee is around Rs1600 for History Hons. Yes, reservation seats are available for minority students. The college does not take any admission tests. The percentage of best of 4 subject marks is the deciding factor for admission. The candidate with a higher percentage secure to position of the merit list.

I applied to many colleges like barasat college, birati college, dumdum motizil college, Surendra Nath college etc. My first name list came from this college. So I was admitted to this college. I availed from the general quota. Approximately 60 students can be admitted to this quota. The admission process is so much smoother. The First form was filled up, then verified and then pay the admission fee.

Yes, I availed in OBC quota. In obc quota, approximately 20 students can admit to every course. The admission process is so easy. At first online application was processed with a fee. Then go to college verification and pay the admission fee.

I applied for many colleges after higher secondary but for my low number division, my name had been listed only in this college. So I was admitted here. I applied to dumdum college, barasat govt college etc. I availed in OBC quota. In every department likely 20 students can be admitted through obc quota. Admission criteria are very much simple. At first online form fill up was done on the college website. Then go to college for document verification and pay fees online. After that, you will be a student of this college.
