Ananda Mohan College is one of the best evening college in state which was established in 1961. The college is affiliated to the University of Calcutta, Kolkata and accredited with B+ by NAAC. The college offers Bachelor degree in the field of Arts and Science
- The college was started as the evening wing of City College, Calcutta which is run by the Brahmo Samaj Education Society, a registered society and educational wing of the Sadharan Bramho Samaj, that runs seven other undergraduate colleges and a higher secondary school in the city of Kolkata
- In 2006-2007, the college has introduced undergraduate courses in Geography and Computer Science
- In 2007-2008, the college has also introduced general undergraduate course in Elective Hindi

Extra-Curricular:
- NSS- NSS of the college provides 2-year institutional training to NSS volunteers. Students participate in NSS activities like promotion of voluntary blood donation and prevention of AIDS, survey of slum area, campus cleaning, tree plantation and environmental etc. In the academic year 2010-11, NSS conducted an awareness programme regarding sexually transmitted diseases (STDs)
- NCC- NCC of the college also provides 2-year institutional training. Cadets participate in community development programmes like rallies against social evils, village adoption, anti-plastic awareness campaign and in different NCC Training Camps like ATC, LRD, RD, NIC, Trekking, CATC, Rafting, Mountaineering etc.
- Games and Sports- Students participate in various outdoor and indoor games. The Annual Sports of the students are organised every year regularly

- Our college has amazing infrastructure and is one of the oldest college in the city it stands as a testament to colonial architecture and our rich culture and heritage. The rooms are spacious and the building is well maintained.
- The campus life is amazing we have very helpful seniors who help us from submitting forms to playing cricket and the common rooms are well equipped with sports accessories and we have a well functional gym and and indoor auditorium.
Dislikes
- One of the things that's could have been better is the timing of the classes sometimes it's late in the evening and it's difficult for some of us to attend them since we all come from different places.
- Our college needs to keep someone for regular cleaning of the college premises and it has been noticed a lot of times after any fest that our college has been trashed and there's no one to clean them
Admission:
The admission process was very smooth and it was not at all difficult for me to get admission. The eligibility criteria was also met with me. All the information regarding admissions is available on the college website for any future references.

- The first thing I dislike that our college is too dirty
- Teacher bunk classes or they are not on time
Admission:
I choose this college because this college is nearby my house and I have chosen the course B.Com Hons and the eligibility for this is minimum 65% in class 12 from a commerce background and you should pass your 12 with mathematics and commerce . After all these you will get your admission. After completing your 12 when you will get your results then go to the college website you want to get admission in fill the admission form and you have to wait until your name appears on the college pdf. Then you can go and pay the admission fees and there you will get the admission.

- The campus is very old and need a little renovation.
- No extra curricular activity would take place.

I got admission through a form filled out and got selected based on my 12th board result. Application forms are available on the college website for min fee of 500. There are reservations also available for students.

Firstly the infrastructure of this college at this affordable fee is too awesome. Even there are many courses to do. I find the application at it online sites and pay the amount which was 5500 through a bank it last payment day was up to one week. The teachers were very polite regarding their teaching was so awesome even though it was night college it extend up to 8:30 P.M.

I want to say about my college that if you got at list 60% in your 12th board examination you can avail easily for admission in anandamohancollege in any such course like BCom b.a and even BSc also. You can find the application form on the college's official website online and also you can easily check the course's particular fees on the website. I'm providing my college website where you can easily see the notice if you'll open the website. And if you belong to the reservations category. My friend, you will get more benefits for admission even if you score less than 60% you can easily get admission in honours subjects. No more improvement was seen inside me because this college is a very average one and they didn't give you more pressure under such a perspective.

We had to visit the college and submit the form with the required documents. The form can now be found online and can be submitted. Once the form is submitted with the required documents, the website will ask for a fee that needs to be provided. I did not avail any benefits, however, there are reservations for different quotas. The process of clearing fees, submitting forms before exams and clearance of library cards was very hectic which needs to be much smoother.
Admission:
There was no exam in my college for admission. I have applied for several other colleges this year like the Herambo Chandra College, Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose College. But I didn't join them because this college is quite specialized for the course and the teachers are quite supportive too. The minimum marks criteria were 55%

This college is good. not so much better but good. Admission process is very easy.I fill the admission form in online and also pay in online. There is no reason behind to select this college just because of my marks. No,my uncle says that college is good thats why I join this college. There is no any website that I saw Earlier .

Our course curriculum is good. We have basic internal and external exams with both theory and practical exams. our syllabus is updated and we are following cbcs syllabus. faculties is very helpful and kind towards us.
