Remarks

The college record is very respected in terms of success. Its canteen is very big. The teachers at syamaprasad college are very helpful. They teach both in Bengali and English. First of all, you have to apply online on syamaprasad college website. And according to the merit list, you will be called for document verification and further admission process. It is an evening college. Evening timings are very much suitable for those who are pursuing CA or other professional courses. I got all information on syamaprasad college website.

Course Curriculum Overview

From the very beginning, I was interested in accounting and finance. It is my dream of pursuing Bcom(Hons). That's why I choose Bcom Hons at graduation level. I was also pursuing other professional courses together with Bcom which helped me a lot. The student and faculty ratio is good. Teachers assist students in studying. Teacher's taught in any language like English or Bengali or Hindi. Anyone can ask doubts if they want and they cleared immediately. The term exam is on schedule. And there are not so many difficult questions if your basic concepts are clear. And teachers taught us in a very basic manner.

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 5000 per year

Placement Experience

There is no campus placement offered in college. However, students can opt for postgraduate courses or professional courses after graduation. I'm already pursuing a professional course along with Bcom Hons. Hope one day I clear all exams of CA

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are very low and affordable. It costs around 3500/year including examination fees and etc.

Campus Life

Every year an annual festival is held. The name of the annual festival in syamaprasad college is Spardha. They are conducted in September month. There are a vast amount of books and journals that are present in the library. Any student can go and study in the library or can borrow the books against a library card. Classrooms are well equipped with benches, lights, and fans.

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

SAJC - From The Eye of a Student.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is of course outdated. Teaching methods are old. No case studies, competitions or project of any sort is there in the curriculum. Although a project of 100 marks is there in the final sem, but I don't think that's enough. There is no practicality in the curriculum and usability in career. The syllabus really needs an uplifment.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is average , I chose this course because I wanted to do an honours degree and I'm from commerce background so my first pick was B.Com . They really put efforts to prepare students for well future , as I said earlier some teachers are genuinely very good helpful supporting and good at what they do . Something they need to approve is the 70% attendance criteria, I think they need to understand not every student is just persuing graduation they are doing some other courses or jobs etc so they can't maintain 70% attendance . The frequency of timing is average

Placement Experience:

In our college generally students get placement before the last semester exam. Lot of companies visits our college and give many placement offer opportunities to the students. The highest package was 6 - 7 LPA and on average it generally ranging from 2 to 3 LPA. "The Students guide "

I chose this college because it is an evening college and one more reason is that it was close to my office where I was doing part-time. So after finishing my job, I used to come directly to the college by walking. Honestly speaking I didn't apply to any other college because most of the college was morning shift and far from my house this college is approximately half an hour distance from my house and as well as it was closer to my office. The admission process was very simple like other colleges every college set cut-off marks and in that list whoever comes will get their admission. In our college, they used to make 2-3 lists, and based on that they select students. The exam most preferred by students is "Project-based assessments" which allow the students to understand more easily through practical and gain experience. The cutoffs are not so much higher as compared to other colleges. In some colleges, their cutoffs go up to 85-90% but in my college, it is less than 70%, I am talking about when I was there. And about the admission process, they charge a reasonable annual fee once at a time during the admission which includes tuition fees, lab fees, development fees, etc....Read More
