Points to remember before applying for B.El.ED in GARGI.

The curriculum is more practical based. Their are so many interesting subjects like Theater, crafts and physical education. B.el.ed is a professional Crouse which prepare students to become a teacher, this crouse definitely prepare students for real world, by making them more creative, confident etc. I have completed my first year and can feel difference in myself in terms of public speaking, students management, and all. This crouse is a full time crouse and students might feel it headache. You may feel you need break but at the same time it is interesting everyday you will learn something new. B.eled have a curriculum based on aunaul exams not semester exam. You have to give exam only once in a year which will be first and final exam. The exam level is quite difficult because you haven't given any practice exam before. You have to repeat the whole year if you fale in more than one subject. But besides this their are some subjects which doesn't contain exams like Theater and crafts.

The b.el.ed course is ment for teaching only, our department offers compulsory internship and non compulsory internship as well in teaching sector. In compulsory internship we can earn form third year onwards around 3k to 4k. We can also do other internship beside our curriculum which regularly informed by placement cell. These internship can be paid or unpaid as well. Most of the internship apportunity comes from second year onwards. Students still can prefer teaching internship mostly offers by NGOs or other internship like content writer, graphic designing or whatever they want. Their are lots of internships who allow students to come from different courses. Our teacher also encourage us to participate and try out different career. The stipend amount gernally is around 5k to 15k. Sometimes also depends on performance. Also our placement cell offers us part time and virtual internship so students can easily took participation.

Only after completing fourth final year, students will be eligible for campus placements. Generally different-diffrent private, elementary level, international schools come for placements. On average starting salaries which my seniors got was around 25k to 30k per month. The highest salary you expect 45k to 50k in some international schools. Students who gets highest placement are not only just toppers in theory exam but they have develop a personality as well. Most of students prefer higher education before placements. A very small number of students sit or apply for placements so the students who apply have high chances to get selected. The placement percentage rate and chances to get placement is high for this reason. I will also prefer my future studies. I can't do b.ed after b.el.ed but I will do masters in economics which is also my libral option in my b.le.ed. students have to choose one subject in which they want to bachelors degree because it is a integrated course.

Dehli University is one of the most affordable University. Their is only one fee in b.el.ed which is the tusion fee have to pay yearly. And no other hidden fees also fees don't increase often. Students from economically weaker sections can also available scholarships. Their are new benifit for every session. Students did informed by teachers and scholerships information are also updated on du website. Third year onwards students can earn by doing compulsory internship of around 3 month. Gernally stipend amount are around 3000 to 4000. They have to do internship from Frist year but they are unpaid. The crouse is based on teaching only and also provide internshipand placements in teaching only to the elementary class 1 to 8.

Department of b.el.ed arrange a saparate fest called edu-fest in gargi college every year. Every year a science trip arrange for students in first we had a trip to Botanical garden and in second year we had a trip to nehru planetarium both were interesting and knowledgeable as well. We have a department in library for b.el.ed and also we have a saparate resource room in our department only for b.el.ed students, includes crouse related books and material. Classrooms are quite well maintained all classes have projector facility. B.el.ed students have their own societies beside college societies like natkhat, artwave etc. in which only department students are allowed. Students can participate in college societies as well. We have a department association called ASMI run by students who regularly conduct events, career counseling program etc. We have some compulsary extracurricular activities like physical education, theatre, and crafts etc. Held over the year, with all needed resources.

For taking admission in b.el.ed (bachelor's of elementary education) students need to give entrance exam which is CUET UG. In CUET students have to take 1 language, and 3 domains 2 from list A and 1 Can be from list B for Dehli University. Their is no need for any specific subject in 10+2 all 12th pass candidate can apply for this course by giving CUET UG (Common University entrance test) held every year between May to april. Choose those domain in CUET in which you are comfortable to score better. CUET is not much difficult as compared to other entrance exams. On the basis of CUET marks students can apply for CSAS protal (admission portal of Delhi University). Reservations students like (OBC, SC, ST AND EWS, ETC) gets marks relaxation. Their is no as such transparency in CSAS protal for cut-offs. But estimated general students needs to score about more than 700 out of 800, OBC students have to score mare than 620/800, sc/st students can get admission in around 570/800 to 610/800.

The faculty is really friendly. They are setting example for us, becoming good teachers like them . Student teacher ratio is also decent our class often get divided in two to mentain a decent class size. As Gargi is govt college they have decent facilities. But I like that we have a separate library for our department. Exams only held annually(ones a year) and it's hard to crack as you need to study whole year syllabus for that. And also if a student fail in more than one exam she have to repeat a whole year. Back or compartments is allowed only in one subject.

If have two cafeteria one of them is Nescafe. The canteen is very decent. But it's Lil bit unhiginic from perspective. Prices are very decent and low. Food is delicious but not all items. we have two library one is collage library the main one and our department library. We mostly used our department one. Because it's specially designed for us. We have a decent 2-3 grounds for event, sports, fest and for taking practical classes ect. The auditorium is really nice, comfortable, cozy. Gargi college don't give hotel facilities. Gargi college is located in Lajpat Nagar and that's the best place to hangout there so many things near by Hauz khasand south extenstion etc but they are not that Close to collage.
