Course Curriculum Overview

5

B. Com Hons is too lengthy a program and therefore even though I was getting that I chose B.Com. Yes, I agree we have a fewer subjects and less electives but all the traits of commerce are there in our program. We are taught thoroughly all the accountancy subjects be it audit or cost accounting. Economics too is a compulsory elective and all the traits of it are also there in our course.

Internships Opportunities

5

HDFC Bank, Indusind Bank, Federal Bank and Ircon and other industries are some of the top names. 4-8 weeks of mandatory signing for internships with a stipend of 20k or so for the students who enroll for internship with them.

Placement Experience

5

B.Com has the second placements at our college after B.Com Hons and must say, all the companies needs economics reforms and this is where we can serve. Financial analyst to credit appraiser we have everything taught and therefore the banks and the large conglomerate signs us at an average package of 6 lakhs a year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Gargi College is a college which has its eyes set by thousands of girls in India. However for there B.Com program just 180 seats are available and I was one of those. One thing that attracted me towards the college is the fees for the course as it's just 22.5k a year. Yes, it's unreal but this is all I have paid all throughout three years.

Campus Life

5

Reverie the annual fest happened 15 days back and it was another blockbuster just like the previous years. Our college campus is amazing and has one of the best crowds of DU. Yes, it's an all girls college but that gives a sense that in the world of men we can also make out mark. Our college societies and faculties make sure we move ahead in that path. We have various activities happening and sports facilities aren't sparse either.

Admission

I obviously like every girl in India wanted LSR but 790 was the cut-off for LSR and for Gargi it was 772. I missed my mark by 6 numbers or percentile or else I would have been reviewing LSR currently. However, Gargi too is above rest of the Girls Colleges of Delhi and if not the best second best also works because it's almost the end of my course and I have no complaints whatsoever.

Faculty

5

We have like 18-19 faculty members for BA program and needless to say how qualified they are. To me, one thing that has impressed is their off classes behaviour as we can approach them off classes too and they guide us in whatever we want to pursue. Students of our college are into CA and we can ask those doubts too as some of them are CA as well.

Night Life

5

Our college literally is the best as malls and all are nearby. Ansal Plaza has KFC, Burger King, McDonald's and probably all the eating outlets for which we crave day in and day out. Green park area of Delhi also has some pubs and night clubs where night life can be enjoyed to the core and we do that quite often.

Placement Experience:

After completing 4 semester you are eligible to sit into on-campus placements i.e. after completing your second year. Companies start to arrive in final year or pre final year of you're going for 4 year degree. Big 4 companies like Deloitte, EY, KPMG, PWC and other companies like accenture, zomato, airtel can be seen in placement season. Average package is 4-5 LPA ranging from college to college and depends individual skill set and practical experience. Highest could go upto 22LPA in our college. Half of the students gets placed during the season but not all. After competition of degree students can pursue various courses like CA, CS or praper for CAT/GMAT.

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.
