Admission to institutions taking entrance exams into account comprises of two main steps:

Exam Score:

  • Scoring a percentile more than the required cut-off can help in being shortlisted right away. Students must take note of the cut-off mark decided by each college and work hard enough to achieve that score in the entrance exams.
  • Practice for an entrance exam must not stop just because one has tackled some mock question papers. There is still room for improvement and candidates must keep practicing consistently.

Personal Interview (PI):

  • Students must upgrade their communication skills, critical thinking and current awareness, as these are some of the criteria being tested during this round.
  • Participation and certification in various extra-curricular activities such as clubs, sports, and NGO volunteering can be an addendum to the list of merits.
  • Be updated about the dates of registration and examination, and apply before the deadline.
  • Prepare well and in advance for the entrance exams.
  • Always be aware about current affairs.
  • Make sure to practice the necessary skills for the interview/group discussion held during selection.

Faculty

I'll probably say 3 teachers per 25 students. Faculty to student relationship is mostly good though some teachers are in approachable some times but overall good. I came from life sciences and faculty from zoology botany and chem department taught us. From them I'll say Neelam mam from chem department is very good. Anand sir and obaiah sir from zoo department is good and Sachin sir from botany is one of the best. I like them because their way of explaining things is very good and also they keep motivating you Faculties like manoj sir from botany and Robin from EVS department are the worst as they don't know how to communicate and very bad behaviour 4 core from your course and in extras we have ge- general elective sec-skill enhancement course and vac - value addition course and Aec - ability enhancement course which is Hindi or evs

Course Curriculum Overview

In terms of relevance and comprehensiveness the course is good. Aspects that influenced me choose this course is this is a program course so after under graduation I'll have options to take 3 different majors for post graduation. This curriculum prepared us for real-world applications as in 4th year we have dissertation/research in which we can connect with real world. Talking about areas of improvement there is no projector in every class that I suppose have to be mandate and some equipments are not working and somewhere lack of chemicals to where we have to use alternatives to them. Talking about exams we have to submit assignments (1-2 of every subject) and internal tests will take place one time before the final exams. Not that easy and not that difficult.

Campus Life

The campus life is too good as I got too much exposure to the Many opportunities and many persons. Our college annual fest, Sabrang is Also too good. It's basically of 2 day event and on both days very well known and famous personalities are invited. Our college have table tennis court, badminton court volleyball ground and a special area for archery also. Many of our college students have represented our college in national events. There are many student-run social groups which are helping us in each and every step in college. Literally you can ask anything that hinder your in college they'll sort out everything.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is too good. As my course is life sciences so instead of learning about only one core subject like in botany hons and zoology hons course, we get chance to learn about zoology, botany and chemistry simultaneously. That Also unlock a large no. of opportunities for my future. Acc to me the ratio of practical lab and theory classes should be increased like we only get 1 lab for one core subjects in a week so I think this no. Should be increased so that we can get more practical knowledge. The difficulty level of exams are too much High like it seems we're hons course students that should be decreased.

Faculty

Ok ,so faculty in my respective course is really good . Zoology and chemistry faculties are friendly and good , u may find botany faculty rude but they are good too. At the end of the day each and every faculty gives their best for our good outcomes. From the Zoology faculty, Deepmala Mishra Ma'am is very friendly and also Roopa samal ma'am , she teaches really good ! Ok so there are 7 subjects for 1st year 3 core, 1 GE , 1 Vac ,1Sec , 1Aec For 2nd year 3 core, 1 DSE , 1 Aec, 1 sec , 1 vac For 3rd year 3 core, 1 DSE , 1 Ge , 1sec This will be your subject pattern per year. Exams are pretty easy , one can easily do it with brief knowledge about the subject and syllabus. I my first 3 sem , i didn't study at all , used to look for units just a night before the exam, and still got 7 sgpa and in my 4th sem i just studied in detail for my practicals and my cgpa got increased by whole 1 sgpa ,i got 8 sgpa. So , i would recommend you to work more on your practicals , take your practical labs regularly, u can miss theory but absolutely not the labs! Even if you will go regularly, sit infront of the teacher u may not speak much, but just by being present u will get noticed. Teachers will know you , they have 20 marks for your IA and you can score decent by being in good books of teachers.

Course Curriculum Overview

See , if you want to enroll in this course, u should know what you're gonna do after your bachelors if you are going to do masters in any of the core subjects and want to study further in the subject u may choose this course . I want to tell you beforehand that if your goals are for government job or something just don't pick this course just because u took biology in your 12th , Pick course according to your future goal . You will get plenty of file works in this course for each and every subject of core . When u say a lot of file work it's A LOT! So , you better choose for your wellness

Faculty

The admin block and faculty and really amiable and approachable. The admin block is very accessible, just by the gate and is open whenever you visit. I like Ms. Kalawati ma'am the most. She seems very approachable and kind. There is no such faculty I did not like. They are all hardworking and present.

Placement Experience

2nd and 3rd semester students become pretty eligible for placements and internships via placement cell or other sources. My plans after my degree are still academic. I want to complete my MSc and Phd from well acknowledged universities.

Faculty

HiiFaculties come and take guidance from them anytime when they are in Ramjas college. I really philosophy, hindi and english at ramjas college. I didn't enjoyed studying from the faculty of chemistry department here I didn't liked the way they taught and hence the classes were a waste of time. There are semester exams once at the end of the semester alongwith that there are internals which include assignments, presentation, test, practical mocks, etc. The exams are not tough at all. Most of the time students pass even atleast study the syllabus. Still they are here except the new subjects added by NEP like VAC which is kind of burden.

Campus Life

The library is accessible to all the students we just had to apply for a library membership which takes around 15 days. Most of the books are available for UG level. There is a big sports complex and competitions are held for different sports like volley ball, badminton, etc. Extracurricular activities involve arts society, music society, photography society, etc. Students can join as per their interest. If they qualify the selection test they can join successfully join. As I mentioned earlier there are different

Placement Experience

I think the placements are fine, even now in first year our teachers send us information about internships and all. And the students also get placements with the highest being 28lpa I guess. And many times students are offered placement and job within the campus also

Campus Life

Campus life is something is the highlight of being a du student, it offers diversity, students coming from different places in india, from different academic backgrounds collaborate and share beautiful bonds. There are several clubs and societies for dance, singing, debating, art, etc so the students can polish their extra curriculars. So, the library in the college is a place where students get a peaceful environment to read, study. They can take books from the library, plenty of books, from history to politics to science to fiction. Everything at one place. The sports ground is big, and has basketball courts, it also has gym.

Faculty

So, the batch of 150 students was divided into 2 sections ; A and B. So the faculty to student ratio was good. Faculties are approcable and were helpful academically as well as there are mentors assigned for 4-5 students per mentor to assisr for any problema they have non - academic too. I genuily liked all the faculities i studied from and was inspired all the way from them.

Course Curriculum Overview

So my course Life Science is programme course which includes 3 core subjects i.e. Zoology, Botany, Chemistry. I chose this subject because the cores are interesting and are very helpful in exams like CSIR-NET , GATE, etc. There are 4hr labs per week for each subject which makes us learn new lab skills. The timining and frequency of exam is difficult because you require to conduct all the classes/ labs.

Fees and Financial Aid

The general tution fees per year used to be around a sum of 25000 INR in total. And for some reserved categories the fees was around 15 to 20 thousand INR per year. Scholarship opportunities are provided as well on merit and exam score basis. Hostel facilities were also provided on a merit basis every year and some seats were reserved as well the the other categories except general. There used to be an additional fee to be paid each semester for practical and theory end sem exams It used to range in between around 1.5 - 2 k per semester. And cost of the books isn't covered in the tution fees. Students need to get their own ones.

Faculty

The faculty at college their strength estimates around 200-300 staff members in total including the professors, lab assistants and other faculty members. And the students estimated around 10000 in total So the ratio would be like 1:20 approx The faculties i had known were the Science faculty and commerce faculty All the teachers were really good in their communication and friendly with students as well. Even they were very helpful and supportive towards students. Every semester their used to be an exam of 6-7 subjects out of which 3 used to be core subjects and the rest ones electives

We have so many things under delhi university. So many societies, so many fests are held. Being a delhi university student is the best college life i could have ever imagine. Currently i am in Northeast society of our maitreyi college, university of delhi. Being here means grasping a lot of opportunities. We have so many co curricular activies that is other than studies like sports, dance etc. I think we can greatly shape our personality from here for our bright future

Fees and Financial Aid

Hi friends my course is bsc prog. Life science. I am pursuing this degree from sri Aurobindo college which i think is a decent college as the faculty of this course are wonderful. This course has many advantages for your future career options. In my college it's annual fees is 13000 but it may vary according to the college max. It can go till 20000. If you want to pursue this course you have to score good in cuet. If you are from gen category than you should score 520-350 marks and if you are from unreserved category than there are chances for you to get addmission in 200 marks. In this course there is no such chances for jobs or placements that easily rather you should go to higher studies like msc through iit jam or msc through cuet pg. This course consists of three main subjects: Botany; Zoology; chemistry. You can do msc in any of these subjects and can also do msc biotechnology. This course feels very hectic as you have a vast syllabus of each subjects and then assignments and practical files. Buta it's good for those who are willing to have as much as option for thier future career.

Faculty

The relationship between faculty and students is good. They are very approachable. If you are an obidient student than you will always be on a safer side. Faculty members give goods marks in internals and also help you a lot during your semesters. Shikha ma'am, om prakash sir and anil sir teachers of chemistry, zoology and botany respectively are the teachers which i think are good as they are always ready to help you they gives you opportunity in many things and moreover they are friendly you can share your problems with them regarding college course they will help you out. There is no such faculty members i hate as they all are good to me. There are 2 exams per semester each in every year. The level of exams are easy to moderate. But there are few students who fail the exam beacuse of irregularities in classes or not knowing anything regarding the subject otherwise there is no such chances of failing in exam in main subjects if you know about the subject and topics which are in the syllabus.

1.Faculty to student ratio is 1:20.Faculty to student realtionship is good most of them are helpful in nature and quite approacheable. 2.Most of the assistant professor are nice and very helpful. All professsors are very nice. 3.Reena mam(Botany) is a bit rude, she very difficult to talk to. 4.There are generally 4-5 exams based on the number of courses in a particular semester and they are easy to moderate .Almost all students are able to qualify the exams. The course curriculum was decently relevant.

Course Curriculum Overview

*It's a general course so every subject is taught in detail. *The course is not very practical and doesn't offers much with respect to real world applications. Those who want to do phd, research or want to become a professor in Biology can take this course. *The Focus should be more on practical releated to real world applications . *Exams are held every 4-6 months and they are easy to moderate.
