Course Curriculum Overview

*It's a general course so every subject is taught in detail. *The course is not very practical and doesn't offers much with respect to real world applications.Those who want to do phd,research or want to become a professor in Biology can take this course. *The Focus should be more on practical releated to real world applications . *Exams are held every 4-6 months and they are easy to moderate.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 10900 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

1.Year wise fees was around ?8000? to 10,900 . 2.Security fee at the time of admission was Rs.500 and exam fee was 1000 there were no additional charges. 3.Scholarship concession is 20%of the whole fees for meritorious candidates.

Campus Life

Annual Festival-rhapsody held in January. The collection of books in library is nice. There are sart boards and projectors in every classroom. Sports include basketball,football,boxing,yoga,judo,chess. There aremany socities as well like Zeal for Western dance( most popular). Nrityakriti for Indian Dance. Galore- Fashion Society Abhivyakti- fotb dramatics Riyaz-Music society

Admission

I got admission on the basis of cut off(12th board exams).The admission process is quite easy and smooth. Eligibilty-sholud have completed 12 with atleast 45% of marks and have Physics, chemistry and biology as compulsory subject with .The aggregate of the mentioned subject should be atleast 45%. Need to clear CUET as well.

Faculty

1.Faculty to student ratio is 1:20.Faculty to student realtionship is good most of them are helpful in nature and quite approacheable. 2.Most of the assistant professor are nice and very helpful.All professsors are very nice. 3.Reena mam(Botany) is a bit rude,she very difficult to talk to. 4.There are generally 4-5 exams based on the number of courses in a particular semester and they are easy to moderate .Almost all students are able to qualify the exams.The course curriculum was decently relevant.

Night Life

*There is no gym in campus , cafeteria generally closes arount 5:00 pm and college is also almost empty after 5:00 pm. *Campus timimgs are generally for 7:30am to 5:30pm in the evening. *Most famus hangout place is Satyaniketan.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of Hansraj College is quite active. You are eligible to sit for campus placement offers from 5th semester onwards. Companies like Deloitte, capgemini arw frequent recruiters for several posts and positions. The highest offered package is somewhere around 22000 with the average being at 700000-800000. Not all students get placed on campus, however thr hands on training and learning makes you industry ready, making you eligible amd worthy to apply for off campus placement opportunities. Many students prefer not to sit for campus placements and rather opt for higher studies after graduation. I plan to do the same after getting my undergraduate degree.

Life in RAMJAS

Course Curriculum Overview:

Cource curriculum is highly relevant. It covers fundamental and advanced concepts of zoology , which was the main reason I choose this course. Subjects like human physiology, biochemistry, biomolecules, comparative anatomy of vertebrates, animal behaviour, ...etc. are highly interested and align with my interest. Practical components help in developing and understanding concepts more clearly. However, real world applications is limited. Curriculum prepare students well for further academics for PG or other competitive exams. Exam system is conducted at regular intervals with Internal assessment and semester end. Timings are appropriate . Difficulty level is moderate to high.

For B.Sc (Hons) Mathematics at Hindu College, the curriculum follows the latest DU UGCF?2022 structure, so it covers both strong theory and some modern applications. The main reason to choose this course is the depth in core areas like Calculus, Algebra, Real Analysis, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations and Probability, which builds a very solid base for higher studies like M.Sc, data science or research. There are six semesters with continuous internal assessment plus end?semester exams, so students study regularly instead of only before finals. I have applied to aryabhatta College before Maitreyi College for Women. So comparison to this college Maitreyi colleges stands out on various aspects:- Before 2024 the admission process is entirely dependent on merit list and the cutoffs. But from 2024 the admission process changed and now Cuet Exam is mandatory. A valid score of cuet and 12 th class is required.
