Course Curriculum Overview

*It's a general course so every subject is taught in detail. *The course is not very practical and doesn't offers much with respect to real world applications.Those who want to do phd,research or want to become a professor in Biology can take this course. *The Focus should be more on practical releated to real world applications . *Exams are held every 4-6 months and they are easy to moderate.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 10900 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

1.Year wise fees was around ?8000? to 10,900 . 2.Security fee at the time of admission was Rs.500 and exam fee was 1000 there were no additional charges. 3.Scholarship concession is 20%of the whole fees for meritorious candidates.

Campus Life

Annual Festival-rhapsody held in January. The collection of books in library is nice. There are sart boards and projectors in every classroom. Sports include basketball,football,boxing,yoga,judo,chess. There aremany socities as well like Zeal for Western dance( most popular). Nrityakriti for Indian Dance. Galore- Fashion Society Abhivyakti- fotb dramatics Riyaz-Music society

Admission

I got admission on the basis of cut off(12th board exams).The admission process is quite easy and smooth. Eligibilty-sholud have completed 12 with atleast 45% of marks and have Physics, chemistry and biology as compulsory subject with .The aggregate of the mentioned subject should be atleast 45%. Need to clear CUET as well.

Faculty

1.Faculty to student ratio is 1:20.Faculty to student realtionship is good most of them are helpful in nature and quite approacheable. 2.Most of the assistant professor are nice and very helpful.All professsors are very nice. 3.Reena mam(Botany) is a bit rude,she very difficult to talk to. 4.There are generally 4-5 exams based on the number of courses in a particular semester and they are easy to moderate .Almost all students are able to qualify the exams.The course curriculum was decently relevant.

Night Life

*There is no gym in campus , cafeteria generally closes arount 5:00 pm and college is also almost empty after 5:00 pm. *Campus timimgs are generally for 7:30am to 5:30pm in the evening. *Most famus hangout place is Satyaniketan.

I have amazing experience with this college.

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester onward you become eligible to seat in campus placement.Top Most company visited like Wipro, Infoys, and TCS and for specilized course like BMS , B.Com, and B.Sc Program like Tresvista, Gartner and Genpact Supertech ect. Highest package of Keshav Mahavidyalaya was 21.50 LPA and the average package is 5.5 LPA . The placement rate is about 50 to 60 percent got placed every year.

Ignou: Flexibility And Disappointment

Placement Experience:

Placements in IGNOU are quite limited compared to regular universities. Since IGNOU is an open and distance learning university, it does not have a strong campus placement system like DU or private colleges. There is a Campus Placement Cell (CPC) that conducts job fairs and recruitment drives at some regional centers, but these are not very frequent and mostly depend on the location. Usually, students who are in their final year or have completed the course can apply, but there is no fixed semester rule since the system is flexible. The companies that visit are not very large in number and vary every year. Some private firms, NGOs, BPOs, insurance companies, and small IT firms have participated in the past. The roles are generally entry-level such as sales, customer support, data entry, insurance advisor, or junior IT support. There are very limited opportunities for core mathematics or research roles through placements. As far as packages are concerned, the average package is usually around ?2.5 LPA to ?4 LPA, but since IGNOU is an open university, it cannot be expected to have the same placement levels as regular colleges with full-time classes. Also, the percentage of students placed is very small because most IGNOU students are either working professionals, homemakers, or people preparing for competitive exams, so placements are not the main focus. Many students use the degree as a qualification while pursuing their own career path outside. I am currently in my 2nd year, so I do not have personal placement experience yet. The data I have mentioned here is based on internet sources and feedback from other IGNOU students. From what I have learned, placements exist but are very limited, and one should not rely only on them for career building.

This is college comes under Delhi University, one of the finest colleges for graduation in India. I have applied to aryabhatta College before Maitreyi College for Women. So comparison to this college Maitreyi colleges stands out on various aspects:- Before 2024 the admission process is entirely dependent on merit list and the cutoffs. Life in du (girls college)

I got accepted into this college through CUET, and Du assigns you your college according to your marks. This college is decent. I applied for every college there is in Du, but I didn't make it to the top colleges above this colleges because my marks were not that high. I could not study. I did not study enough to reach higher enough, so I got allotted this college. Admission process was very easy, it was all online. We submitted all our documents, essential documents to the colleges online, and then they verified it, then they took my admission.I like the admission experience because it was very easy and fast.However, being in this college for 3 years now, I actually like the college infrastructure better than other DU colleges, plus the faculty.
