Course Curriculum Overview
Statistics hons is quite a relevant course with great career opportunities. There is a great demand for Statisticians in the job market. With some great SEC courses our skills are upgraded and we are prepared for the job market.
Internships Opportunities
I interned for the Outlook group as a Business Development intern in my 2nd semester. The opportunity was provided on-campus during our internship fair. They did not provide a stipend and was work from home.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for placement opportunities starting from the 5th semester, and we do get quite a number of companies coming here for the placement season. The placement season goes on for a year, with ample opportunities for everyone considering the student's skill set.
Fees and Financial Aid
We pay 22,500 for this course which is a great price point for the quality of education and infrastructure that is provided here at SVC. There are a number of scholarship opportunities available for students in need which is also quite commendable.
Campus Life
A vast number of events are held year round, the major one being our annual fest NEXUS, which is quite unmatched by any other college in the Delhi radius. And quite some societies are also prevelant here, which the students actively join based on their interests.
Admission
I applied to Christ but rejected it for SVC, owing to better academics, opportunities and reputation. The extra-curriculars here are much better. We had to appear for CUET-UG to get an admission here, and that process was much better compared to Christ.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is also pretty good. 40:1 is the ratio for our course which is quite justified and should be maintained throughout. The level of difficulty of exams is medium, but the course is completed and we are well prepared for them.
Night Life
I am not aware of the night-life prevelant in-campus, owing to the fact I live in a PG, but the post-classes hangouts at the canteen and maggi point is quite enjoyable and pretty safe. Yes it is comparatively safe to roam around at night.
