Course Curriculum Overview

4

My course gives the freedom to explore all fields that science has to offer and therefore I appreciate it a lot, though it's for people who don't like maths and physics. Through labs, we are prepared for real world applications and the conceptually clear teachers teach in a way so that it helps us. Areas for improvement would include field visits and real time learning in terms of seeing actual science in play. The frequency of exams is good, the timings can be shifted in the sense to at they're held in peak weather conditions.

Internships Opportunities

3

The companies that come to our college for placement are Bain and Co., even placements by the government are offered. Some offer stipend and some do not, average stipend is 5000, can go higher as well, some projects are online and some are offline or in office projects, depending on your role- marketing, consulting etc.

Placement Experience

5

Students become eligible for placements on the 3rd year, we have decent placement opportunities but not the best, highest package is around 15 lakhs. Companies that visit are Bain and Co., Urban Clap etc. average package is around 5 lakhs. My plans after getting the degree are getting into a master's programme and pursuing research.

Fees and Financial Aid

We have a one time fees system with our annual fees being around 23K, which is our tuitions fees, we had to pay our admission fees only when we took admission in the colleges for the first time, lab fees is included in this itself. The fees of my batchmates for categories is around 20K. Merit cum need and financial aid scholarship is available.

Campus Life

5

The annual fest of the college is Nexus, it is well organised, beautifully decorated and artists are called. The different clubs provide a wholistic atmosphere and exposure and prepare you for the real world. I am a part of Enactus SVC, a social entrepreneurship society of our college. Sport grounds and equipment is available but coaches are limited. The facilities and technological provisions of our college are good

Admission

I chose this college over other colleges because it has a great crowd, good society exposure, one of the best teachers in terms of sciences, I applied to Gargi college, Hansraj college, I also applied to Ashoka University and Christ University, I got accepted to Ashoka and Christ University. I didn't get admission in Hansraj due to not meeting the score criteria. The exam I have for my college was CUET UG exam. The cutoff in my time was out of 600, and I got 411. The overall admission process was smooth.

Faculty

5

The faculty to students ratio differs from course to course, it's 1:95 for my course, but smaller for courses like economics which has 1:40. The faculties are approachable and friendly. The best faculties are from the botany department. I like Aditi ma'am from the botany department, from the zoology department, which is great too, I like Namita ma'am. From chemistry I like Shikha ma'am, she amazing. We have a mid term exam and an end semester exam, the course curriculum is relevant, but the best is of biological sciences. Exams are made in a manner so that most students paas.

Night Life

4

We have Satya Market nearby which though is unhygienic but is definitely a great hangout spot with multiple cafés and arcades to hangout in. We have a rock climbing centre nearby, Chanakyapuri nearby, which is a great spot, especially for nature lovers, though it is is slightly expensive.

the college has an active placement cell however we as science kids do not rely on it much as it is majorly commerce dominated. There isnt much placement or internship recognition for science kids but it is acitvely improving with more professionals gracing our college campus with new opporunities every now and then.
